    I'm thinking about picking one up at release, and it appears this is just an EC-1000 with an 81 in the neck, neck through, and different inlays. Is that pretty much an accurate assessment? Thanks

    locking ESP tuners ~ no clue maybe $40
    knobs, rings, buttons, plates, screws, etc. ...

    i suppose you would really have to go indian on it... use the whole animal so to speak. unless you really need pretty much all of those specific parts, it's probably not that good of a deal.

    i'd like to see someone fix it up. if you didn't mind ugly, you could glue the body together and you'd have an awesome gigging guitar. you could even slap a couple of big band-aids over the boo boos. : )
