I'm thinking about picking one up at release, and it appears this is just an EC-1000 with an 81 in the neck, neck through, and different inlays. Is that pretty much an accurate assessment? Thanks
creativename11

That, and its fucking awesome.

But if you need a real reason, there is no abalone and its string thru with an ebony board. also it may or may not be 25.5. I know they tune down to drop c in most of their stuff so he might like a bigger scale.

Josh J.

Thanks,

It is 25.5 scale.

Spoonylove

25.5 EC with a cool top. Sounds good to me!

Nicholas S.

when do these hit stores? I might pick this guitar as the replacement for my stolen ones

brandono61cr

i wish companies made more 25.5 LPs and explorers

thinking about picking one up. pretty much for the same reasons as everyone else...
25,5 scale, though-neck, scooped out cut out, good hardware, and ebony. only thing i might change is the bridge pu. sey-dunc blackout?
i think the 81s are because of all the down-tuning.

Wow!! What a ****!!! :(

I just had two guitars shipped in from the USA. Luckily, they are still in 100% mint condition. :o

They were packed in boxes, with bubble wrap around them in their hardcases.

Sorry to see these pics. I take it the shipping company is at fault. Who is going to replace/pay for the guitar??

Did you buy from a shop did you? I assume they some sort of insurance that covers this sort of thing?

That's pretty lame that happened to you. Seeing the pictures, I kinda want one. I just wish the switch was in the normal position or there was no tone knob.

Justinschut

yeah, you have to sit on it in order to close the latches

atmosphere0284

yeah, you have to sit on it in order to close the latches

it does close...but man i wish there was a little more room, the lid is super tight on the body....do all the EC's fit this way?

Justinschut

I was just kidding.. But if the guitar is FT, that would explain why it would be tight in a normal EC case

atmosphere0284

FT? excuse my ignorance man but what does that mean?

Spoonylove

Full thickness. It's thicker than your usual Eclipse/EC series guitar.

atmosphere0284

would you change the case out? i appreciate the help guys thanks!

If the case is snug, but it's not pressing on the knobs or the strings, I would be fine with it. If it was putting pressure on either one, I would can it.
