Bad news is the trem is all fucked up and oxidated, greenish, pitted. Rest of the guitar is top notch, nice neck, no chips. In good condition they're usually around 300, how much would replacing the trem on it go for?...

Why is the general consensus that baritone scales are better for 7 strings? Is it because it allows you to reach a decent amount of tension with thinner strings, reducing muddiness (with higher tension) and easing playability...
