9s
Depending on tuning
10-46
whatever works, but they eat 9's
I say 10s, but whatever works for you.
never had a floyd rose :(
Id say the lower the better
9-46 was fine for me for years
A buddy of mine has tens. He says they work amazing.
i jam the 9's work well for me unless im drop tuning the crap outa the guitar then i'd put a heavier guage
10-46 but im a heavier player
I'm switching to .010's for a less bright sound but i do like the feel of .009 better. You can pretty much use anything on a Floyd with proper setup.
I use a non-standard gauge
.009 - .013 - .017 - .026W - .036 - .050
It works fine on FR :).
As said, you can setup the floyd for any string gauge. I prefer 9-42. For me, it's easier to bend and more comfortable to play.
I'm a 10-46 guy by nature, but I know that 9 - 42 is the way to go.
any works, it's just setting up the floyd, I use 9-46 and it works just fine with a bit of spring tention adustment.
