If it's any consolation, ESP and Schecter are technically almost one in the same. They're owned by the same individual, and I believe at one point, the diamond series and ltd series were made in the same factories. Look at some of their headstocks and see if you notice anything. I may be wrong on a few things but this has been known for awhile. I do find ESP's and LTD's have a little bit more of a lock on their quality control than Schecter though. ESP's and LTD's just have that really nice rock hard feel, where some Schecter's I've played, the neck kinda feels soft compared to the rest of the guitar.
I knew about the whole Schecter and LTD being made in the same factory and owner by the same person. I personally own 3 Schecters and IMO they feel a lot better than any ESP I've played, but that's just my opinion. Its not that I don't like ESP, its just that I love Schecter and its a bit upsetting to see one of my favorite guitarists leaving them. But thank you for being reasonable and not saying something rude like "Schecters suck"

Awesome. He was already with schecter, the sister company and playing that sick looking blood splatter V. I hope they put out that guitar but with ESP & LTD branding. Hey maybe even an E-II SV based model. The SV needs to be available in the U.S. Especially an LTD SV. The Alexi 600 is cool but i want a neck pickup on that shape. Even though import Schecters and LTDs probably come out of the same World Music Instrument co. in Korea I've never been able to feel a connection with any Schecter guitar. Maybe it's that all of the ones I've tried have not been setup @GC but they just don't have that ESP mojo or maybe they're just not that great.
