Just imagine the money you could make if you did an Arrow with this finish and specs.

If this had a single coil in the neck (along with the neck-thru and 24 frets) I would snap it up in a heartbeat. Is there any chance LTD are going to do a variation of the 1998 M-II custom in the near future?

I  posted a question/review a few weeks ago and it never got posted and no one from ESP wrote back to me. Disappointed.

I am disappointed in the volume control because it is not evenly distributed.  0-1 goes to full loudness, and from 2-10 it just stays at that full loudness.  Very frustrating when you want to roll back the volume and have to basically roll it almost completely off to reach any decrease in volume.  Why is this?  Is this a defect or was it done on purpose?

Should put gold hardware on this one like the White one.

my main guitar. it is awesome

I've had mine about a month now absolutely an amazing guitar. Very stable and fast neck. After a quick set up with my preferred strings and a miner truss rod adjustment it has a super low action  and plays very fast and smooth. The pickup is awesomely versatile with the coil tap and emg power boost. Anyone who's on the fence about buying this one I highly recommend getting it.

Does it have the same fretboard radius it had back in 87 350mm?

Todd B. ESP

Hi, Specs may hot be exactly the same as what was produced in '87. However it is the general look and feel of models from that era that we tried to incorporate into this series.

If they are interested in doing reissues, can we get an LTD 901 for the Rammstein fans?

Carl N.

Love these, thanks for the suggestion!

How about a reverse headstock?

Carl N.

these are produced in line with how they were spec'd in 1987, these did not feature reverse headstocks then

How much does it cost?

Carl N.

Pricing will be listed for customers viewing within the U.S.  if you are outside of the U.S. you would need to contact your local ESP dealer for pricing and availability.

I received my Black M-1 Custom 87'... 2 days ago. Great playing, feeling, sounding guitar. MIK was a surprise also. I own several early ESP's that this is modeled after, and they have done a great job recreating the original vibe and feel. I tend to stay away from active pickups, etc but,  The "Active Boost"  really provides a kick in the pants for soloing. Overall very impressed with the new M-1 Custom 87'. If you have played the early original models, this is a very well made representation of the guitars from that era. Well done ESP/LTD.

That's awesome to hear and know, thank you! I am picking mine up this weekend. I was told that the feel is a LOT like the E-II stuff, and that ESP had knocked this one out of the park. Your reply only solidifies my anxiousness to get the thing already!!!

Thanks Dave!!

Carl N.

Glad you enjoy it!

ESP has made me soooooooooo happy this year!!! I have wanted an M-I either identical - or as close to it as possible, to Dino Cazares' that he used on the first 2 Fear Factory albums. And this is it!!! I have this on order, and it cant show up fast enough! Another one of my all-time dream guitars is coming home without having to drop $4k+ at the Custom Shop!!! THANK YOU ESP!!!

Carl N.

Hope you enjoy it Josh!
