What size Original Floyd Rose nut is a replacement for this guitar? R3 or R4? I have an Original Floyd Rose tremolo(R3 nut I think) on a Jackson guitar that has issues that I'm thinking about putting on one of these guitars.
Hi MrScary88, The width of the neck is 43mm so the R3 would suit this model. I would recommend trying your R3 nut for fit and check the height before you make any modifications. The nut we use for production may differ slightly from the Original R3 because it is a less expensive production bridge that we use for our 200 Signature Series.
Is there a left handed version of the George Lynch GL-200mt
Hi Ron, Sorry there is not a left handed version for this model.
I got one of these when they 1st came out and still have it. I replaced the pup with a Duncan distortion. Installed new floyd rose and locking schaller mini tuners. Level crown and polished the frets and dresses the feet ends. Has been a fabulous guitar. I really like the tone of the basswood.
Hey Mike, That's great to hear you still have your original GL-200MT!!
Yes I do
Made in China, Korea, Indonesia?
Hi Graeme, These are made in China.
Amazing! I've been looking for this one on the second hand market for the last three months
Is this available for a lefty by any chance?
Hi Erik, Sorry this model is not available in LH.
Yeah... this needs to be in my collection!
Hi Shawn, hope so!
I would love to see an LTD version of the Skulls & Snakes guitar.
Hi Shawn, We made one probably 10 years ago or more. It was called the GL-600SS.
Todd, while I’ve got you, do you know what strap locks were used on the Burnt Tiger?
Hi Shawn, according to the specs those came with Schaller Strap Locks.
Thanks! I like how they’re designed and wanted to get more for my other guitars.
Great price!!! When I get one of these, the first thing I'm going to do is switch out the volume knob with a DiMarzio 500K Push Pull Potentiometer Pot W/Brass Threaded Bushing EP1201PP, switching out the pickup with a REAL Seymour Duncan (either the "Hunter" or "Screamin' Demon), switching out the cheap Floyd for a REAL "Original" German made Floyd, and replacing the cheap 14:1 tuners with Made in Japan Gotoh 16:1 tuners.. After replacing all of the cheap hardware, you couldn't be closer to the original, and it's a much better deal than paying $4000.00!!!!
Hey Erik, Thanks, that will be pretty nice after you're done!
"Upgrades" always fun, Doing it your self. Are you going to add treble bleed to that Vol Pot? 560pF capacitor, bridge the cap's legs with 300K resistor > i like what Larry Dimarzio recommends. How bout a rewire, i use 22guage solid core for a bit darker tone "guitarelectronics.com" if your interested ill give ya the whole low down on my 1986 Bass wood FrankenBanez. i Barley scratched the surface mentioning here, Alessandro Vol Pot, Rare 16position $125 Tone Styler, lol yada yada yada (playing when i can since 81) hell, i only came here cause got ESP News Letter and stumbled on the $549 Tiger & about S#!^… Like'n That ! Its Ok, that guitar asis for the moment is a Beautiful thang. It would feel great right out of the box, dialed in (well, naturally I'd tune down a 1/2 & impose the EVH off sets on it -9cent 1E -9cent 2B -3cent 3G -1cent 4D & 0cent adjust for 5A & 6E) but We'll see what Ed does this Year hopefully new Music. My Money's On George that guys a Song writing Machine 4sho! & Thats why My California License Plate Reads KXMROCK,
KXM knows about it, Im Rick Johnson @Disgrace Book, lol (look for the Plate, that's my picture) & "Some times i Think, that he is Me"~Like Mike, I mean Thomas Nordegg...
HAVE A GOOD NAMM"er Ery Body ! Hopefully There will Be an ESP Lynch Tiger Acoustic Next year, (with fishman inside) 8>)
I've got The Hunter pu in my Kami awesome pu!!!!
Hey Ghost, glad you like it! It is a great sounding pickup.
Why not use the hunter pickup?
Hi Dan, WE only use the Hunter on the higher end model. It would drive up the price of the 200 series.
OK, that makes sense now.
