This guitar Looks Insane! hope we can throw in some decent Blackouts, locking tuners and a graphtech nut!
How much would it cost to make a case for this from ESP themselves
Really wish we could get some more EX finishes other than white or black.
\m/
Really wish that ESP would bring back the FX. I prefer the headstock on the FX over the EX. Just more aesthetically pleasing to see eye in my opinion. Plus the spalted maple was one gorgeous look! Hopefully one day ESP/LTD will bring back the FX!
i wish they start making a MX-220 original shape like gibson explore 1984
Hi, thanks for your suggestion and comment. Those FX models were pretty cool for sure!
Guys, what is going on with your EX series? First of all the angle of the arm rest back is WAY too extreme. It’s super uncomfortable, not to mention it’s ugly. Also the finishes. You can get black, or white. Seriously? So boring. Give us some maple tops with cool finishes like you do with the eclipse models. The lack of options, and that hideous upper horn contour has prevented me from buying an EX from you. I want to give you my money. Don’t you want my money? Don’t make me buy a Jackson or a solar. I’ll hate it, I’ll hate myself, and I’ll hate you for making me do it. GIVE THE EX SOME LOVE!!!
Hi, thanks for your comments and suggestions. Back in the day we did offer a few varieties of EX models but less options now. We do want you to buy and ESP of course so thanks for letting us know what you're looking for.
I have always been a huge fan of these guitars as a whole, but part of me wishes that Gibson would have never started that ridiculous lawsuit that ended the best version of this guitar in my opinion. To me, it was better looking when it was a James H. Style guitar that had the curves, not the sharp edges like the newer versions. I was born maybe half a decade after the lawsuit, so it’s likely that I would never be able to afford of be able to find one pre-lawsuit in good condition. It’s halfway depressing.
Hey William, Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I'm sure you're not alone in thinking this! The Snakebyte is the closest thing to this and designed by James himself which is really cool.
what will I notice about the pickups on this one vs the pickups on the $749 version? (This is assuming that the pickups are what raises the price.)

Love this guitar! Can't find the Neck Thickness at 1st fret in the specs. Can you please tell me? Thanks
20mm, hope this helps
Does this guitar have any neck dive issues?
not that I have experienced
Are some of the ex shapes smaller than other? Like the ex-50 seems smaller than the ex-200
These will all be modeled after the same body specifications
Will there ever be a left-handed model of this guitar?
One was offered but discontinued in 2019 due to decreased demand for that particular orientation of that model
Really want a 27.5 scale length 7 string version with a pointed headstock Nazgul and Sentient pickups in Black in a Black Metal version ,White with gold hardware and Purple Haze or Purple sunburst with gold hardware , Do this so I can be completely broke lol! Got to make this happen Iknow a lot of metal guys in my local scene that ask about a 7 string version there was the EX-307 but know one really liked the headstock I own one but the scale length is too short.
You could always go to your local ESP dealer and request this to be made by the custom shop
That's not really affordable especially right now during this time around the world.
How much does this guitar weigh?
About 8lbs
I think in general, solid black as a color should be largely discontinued in favor of offering other colors......versus discontinuing great colors for black.
I’m left handed, so sadly all the manufacturers think black is my favorite color or something. I’ve also heard the old line of “Black costs less” when in reality most folks would gladly pay a little extra for something other than another black guitar. Can you imagine having a collection of different models and brands and all of them were black? In the words of Tony Clifton “BORRRR-ING!”. Lol.
Also, when you consider the idea that manufacturers convey that “left handed guitars just don’t sell as much as right handed because there are less left handed guitarists” I’d counter by saying they likely don’t sell as much because they’re usually always black, not because lefty guitarists don’t want to spend money. I’ve lost count, but I think at the moment I have around 25 guitars.....took me since ‘07 to find nice axes that weren’t exclusively black. I mean, if you aren’t making that many lefties to begin with.....why not just offer them in a different color (not black)....even natural finishes are preferable. Just saying’. I think I speak accurately for the majority of lefties that play lefty. Cheers!
Thanks for your sentiments Soullessghost! In reality it costs the same for a black guitar as it would for a white or other standard solid color. Sadly it is true that left handed instruments are not the strongest sellers, regardless of the color offered, so the safest bet for manufactures is to offer these in one or two colors, typically black. That being said, we have a few dealers that specialize in doing limited runs, and one dealer in particular in the U.S. that specifically orders limited left handed instruments. If you're looking for left handed instruments that differ from what you're used to seeing offered I'd start here.
Will we ever see the ex shape with a whammy bar again?
Hey April, no plans at the moment.
How much?

Would you guys ever sell the LTD DJ-600's ever again?
Hi Jorge, There is no plan to sell these again.
I just wanted to ask why the black cherry metallic was discontinued?
Hi Jacob, we have to discontinue some models every year in order to introduce new models. So every year there are both new models and discontinued models.
Hi..is the black cherry metallic finish no longer available for this model?
Hi Shaival, yes that color was discontinued this year. But you might be able to find it in stock at a dealer.
