Yes and no. What matters mostly is durability, the quality of the jack ends and the solder job. As far as signal goes, have tested many a cable and even the cheapest don't have a resistance high enough to change your tone unless your making a long ass cable run. In which case you should be buffering your signal anyway. Mons**r cable and the like is for people who believe in unicorns and like to throw their money away.

It honestly really does matter so dont cheap out on your cable ,you spent. All that money on your axe let it show you what it can do
