Bolt on with a maple neck. acidently stab your neck with a screw driver? no problem! Just sand it down and spray on a new coating. even if its maple if its still a neckthru any damage is permanent.

No contest neck thru! Bolt ons actually rob you of some tone as the neck flaps back and forth as you pick the strings. Its not noticable to the human eye but technically this does happen and is especially evident on really thin neck bolt on guitars.

Neck thru just feels better to me, it's like you can feel the whole guitar resonating. Bolt-on just seems to break that up a bit, but maybe suits lower tunings a bit better to clear up the increased low end.
