Both
The feel
I have both, it's all about sound and feel
neck through and bolt on. my bolt on esps have as much sustain as my neck throughs
NTB all the way!
if i spend money, i wanna spend it on quality. neck thru
Bolt-ons just because.
cheaper
Bolt-Ons 'cause why not
cleaner to play
Neck Through. Dat sustain.
neck thru
Bolt on with a maple neck. acidently stab your neck with a screw driver? no problem! Just sand it down and spray on a new coating. even if its maple if its still a neckthru any damage is permanent.
as long as its not bolt on. Just dont like those neck joints
No contest neck thru! Bolt ons actually rob you of some tone as the neck flaps back and forth as you pick the strings. Its not noticable to the human eye but technically this does happen and is especially evident on really thin neck bolt on guitars.
Neck thru just feels better to me, it's like you can feel the whole guitar resonating. Bolt-on just seems to break that up a bit, but maybe suits lower tunings a bit better to clear up the increased low end.
Neck thru, but just for accessing upper frets, have some bolt on guitars which are a monsters
Set neck
high acces is better with neck thru
