B-55 5 string, opinions?

    I haven't had a chance to play one. I'm not a bassist. Looking for an inexpensive bass and wanted some opinions. Better than other brands at this range? Thanks

    I'd say it's a decent bass...nothing special for the prize and definitely on par with the rest in the same price range. ;)

      If you're looking for legit quality for a cheap price, then hit up Ibanez. That was my first bass and I still have it to this day. It was inexpensive and the quality is good for the price range.

      The B-55 is alright, at best. I was looking into getting a five string and thought that the B-55 was okay. I played a few Ibanez in that price range that sounded a tad bit better.

      But it's all preference.
