As far as I know, you're correct. It's just a change in the model number. It also "allowed" ESP to eliminate the middle model, the 260 series. Other than that, it should be the same as last year's 401s.

The only difference I could see in the descriptions were the nut and tuners (360 is no longer Earvana or Grover). I guess maybe that makes for the 360 instead of 401 distinction.
They've changed the factory (and country) where the guitar is made.
From where to where? And how does one find out which country a certain model is made in?
