LTD Project EC-300AT Semi Hollow
LTD Project EC-300AT Semi Hollow
Still a work in progress, but getting closer to done. I painted a stripe, then decided it needed to be wider, redid it. Just imagine with black pickups/hardware, and no tape.

Thanks guys,
I kind of like the stripe stopping, something different, its not so abrupt looking when you lay the hardware on it. I taped it out originally to go all the way down, didnt really like it on this guitar anyway, I also curved the stripe sideways to go down, kind of like the hocketstick stripe that was on some of the camaros, but then it looked to 80's-y. I am debating on switching it bacek to orange with black. It kind of looks like there is something missing, since theres no more binding. There really isnt a rush on this guitar, since I still have to order some hardware, bridge and stop tailpiece posts anyway... and pups. I'm debating also on throwing active pups in it to avoid the screeching passives, I've heard bad things about trying to wire in semi hot passives, like you need to ground it multiple times, last LTD EC I tried that with would not shut up. What do you guys think?
After looking at the last photo, I'm thinking it'd be neat to outline the body hole with a slight bit of orange to make it stand out since that is one of the defining features of a semi-hollow, you know? Just a thought. Looks killer already regardless.
I like this idea, but I also have some thoughts. I was thinking though, do a little black stripe then the orange, so it matches the racing stripe. Maybe, just maybe, put an orange tail coming out from the hole, give it a kind of shooting star look. And, my last thought, make the black flat and have the orange shiney. Sort of a laid back look with a little bit of pop. And, if none of these ideas work out, there'e always more paint, right?
Jh-3 decals have been decided to look silly on a semi hollow, or at least on a bright color. Black hardware is the only solution, maybe a unique stripe...
