I think its Necessary a Left-handed version of this model and the rest of the 10 series models, because find Lefty guitars in every store that you can find near you, They will not always have left-handed instruments, and if they did, it may be more expensive than their right-handed counterpart.

I used to have one and regret selling it. I am thinking of getting one again but it would be nice to have a few different colour options than just plain black. I feel this model has been largely unloved/ignored in terms of newer versions being made or just having a simple refresh. Bit of a shame as it is one of my favourite body styles :(

My question seems to have been removed for some reason so I will ask again.......

Can anyone tell me what style of single coil this uses and can anyone suggest a suitable replacement? I know a telecaster type uses thinner wires compared with a strat. Thanks for any help given

I have one, it's amazing. for the price, it's a super comfortable guitar, killer aesthetic, perfect for riffing. I play death metal in D standard, it holds pitch perfectly and has a powerful sound, my second guitar, I love it, I will never let it go.

I bought a SH LTD F10 guitar as my first one - love the sound, the feel and especially what some are calling an "ugly design". All good until getting for it a professional setup. Now the 1st and mostly the 6th string are making a horrible buzz. The guy who did the setup explained me that this is a design issue, because the bridge is completely straight while the neck is somehow slightly curved on both margins, so no matter what he's done to it there will always be a difference between the height of 1st and 6th strings and those in the middle - hence the unwanted buzz. Now I come to hate the noise it makes and seriously think to sell it. But, I can't imagine ESP/LTD makes guitars that are impossible to properly setup because of a "design failure". Could you please tell me if the buzzing it's a common issue for this entry level guitar? And how this problem could be fixed? Many thanks in advance!

This is the first time purchasing an ESP/ltd guitar at this level.  Due to my previous experiences with Ltds in the in the range such as my EC-401QM and two EC-1000s and the quality being beyond superb, I was sorely disappointed in the quality control of this guitar even at such a low price point as this guitar was purchased to be a mod platform for a specific purpose. Chips in the fretboard, the bridge is bottomed out and still has an action that is way to high to be called a moderately playable action even with a visibly large neck angle in its pocket.  The string retaining ferrules on the back are pressed in at varying depths.

The finish on the body and back of the neck were very good and the neck, aside from the aforementioned chips in the fretboard was a very comfortable and smooth feeling one.

All the issues, except for the bridge/action are easily corrected or to be expected in an extremely inexpensive entry level guitar.  However, left with the playability issues (a motivational killer for a beginner which this is priced for) will take either a neck pocket shim (least desirable solution, or the bridge studs to be removed, drilled deeper (and stepped to accommodate the top set into the body) to provide more adjustment to lower the action.

ESP/Ltd guitars are up there with the best out in the market, but this one fell short.  Sorry for the long review.  Photos available upon request as I’ve already dove into making this a monster!

I have an F-50FR. My favorite guitar to improvise and play unplugged. The resonance and sustain is amazing. I can hear and feel every note top to bottom. The problem is, no other LTD under $600.00 comes close. The neck is amazing, fits my left hand perfectly especially for chords. Now it's beat up and needs repair. Who can help me with this ? I love this guitar and want it to last forever !

Hola buenas

Tim F.

I bought two of these, one Gunmetal Blue you no longer do, and a black one.  The blue I have kept completely stock, the black I have upgraded tremendously.  They are my main stage guitars.  I have an old 80's 400 series... these two inexpensive LTD's do not embarrass themselves in its company at all.  Defo ALWAYS look at what ESP are doing now, when I buy guitars.  Fantastic axes  -  no issues, nothing.  just great bang for my buck, and two guitars that punch way above their weight.  Further reviews and demos can be found on my Blacktooth Fox YouTube channel.  What can I say... Enjoy playing your own ESP / LTD!  If you sound rubbish, well, its unlikely to be the guitar at fault..!

Hola Buenas,

Thank you for answer. I really enjoyed my f-50 I plan to switch the pickup for JH Signature pickup set.

Hi! Can you tell me the difference between the F-50 and the F-10 please?

Todd B. ESP

Hello, There are a few differences, mostly visual but they are both built on the same F-series platform. F-50 series was a bit more expensive and had 2 humbuckers and different colors. F-10 is the basic entry level version of that shape. We no longer make the F-50.

I acquired this model of guitar maybe 4 months ago, i have to say for the money it is a fairly nice guitar, i can set my action low or high, the neck is smooth and there's no fret growth, though the frets are a little bad, this just happened to be the one i acquired, i was able to smooth them with a 1400 grit stone. The pickups in it sound great, the bridge gives a nice twang or a deeper rock sound, the neck hot rail pickup has high output, good for any drop tuning. Though i did switch them for Seymour Duncans, i like them and kept them. I highly recommend this guitar to any starter or even mid league guitarists looking for a metal guitar. You won't be disappointing, especially for 200 bucks.

Todd B. ESP

Hi William, Thank you for your excellent review. We appreciate hearing from you and hope you continue to enjoy your instrument. Thank you for choosing ESP!

Alexander B.

Will the strings on the f10 LTD guitar the f10 are all the strings the same strings that you put on all the f10 or there different

Todd B. ESP

WE use a standard 10-46 gauge set of strings. These are the same strings we use for all our non-trem guitars. You can change the gauge if you like, heavier or lighter, up to you.
