Guitars have really gotten expensive. I bought this guitar about 30 years ago, and it was around $1500. Even within the last 10 years, it was at least $1000 less than it is now.
My father bought one of these in the 80s, I believe. It doesn't have a serial number but it has a "Made in Japan" on the back of the headstock. Is there a way I can date it?
Hi, that sounds really cool. You can contact our customer service team, send them some photos of your guitar, but there may not be any way to date something from that era as records were not kept the same as today. Here is their email: customerservice@espguitars.com
I doubt it. I have the same guitar that I believe I bought in 1989 or 1990. It has a serial number, but when I contacted ESP and asked them to date it, they said they didn't have any records of the guitars back then.
I hope there is a giveaway sweepstakes for this one. (For once we need a sweepstakes that is not an LTD.)
Have you ever considered having machine screws and metal thread inserts in the body. Yngwie has this on his strat and it is a much tighter neck to body bond. The second plus is you can take the neck off many more time without wear. I would sell my Les Paul to buy a lynch sunburst tiger then.
Nothing planned at the moment, thanks for sharing
It would be great if you could have this headstock in the custom shop!
Only for Lynch models
