Something Wild

I recently purchased a used Alexi 600 Scythe and need a replacement Trem Bar. Looking at the Floyd Rose website, there are many different color options. Is the the Floyd on here considered a Nickel or Chrome? Description here says hdw is chrome but the chrome on the Floyd site seems dark compared to the bright nickel.

And I love the Scythe BTW. You guys should definitely do another run!

Thanks.

Nathan M.

Certainly chrome on the greeny. There were a couple of differently labeled 'Scythe' models. The double pin stripe model (true Scythe) was chrome. The bold single pin stripe models (which were just white 600, not Scythe models, but often mislabeled) were black nickle (I believe).

Also note that chrome plating can flake/darken over time. If yours is pretty worn in, nickle might still match better than chrome. Black always matches too.

EDIT!: I was wrong. It's black nickle. The one I played must have been swapped at some point. Sorry :(

Something Wild

Thanks, I have the double pinstripe with the Scythe inlays.

Hey Something Wild, the Alexi-600 Scythe would have came with a black nickel Floyd Rose 1000 series bridge.  Glad you're enjoying it.

No no it’s Including a case when you check the u gui I far model in here!! I’m talking about currently it is with a hard case please check it out, it doesn’t make sense the guitar is mentioned here WITH a hard case but I buy it from a direct dealer without a case?!? They separate it so I pay $200 more?? Hell no. I’m not setting down and getting fooled by guitar center or anyone who’s involved on this case. I have a fan base on IG and this isn’t right.

Carl N.

Hey Ahmed, if this was purchased recently it should have come with a case.  I am not sure why this dealer is charging you for this separately but it sounds like an issue solely with this dealer.   You can either resolve this with your dealer or contact our customer service department if you require further assistance. customerservice@espguitars.com

hey guys I was wondering why when I purchased my very first ESP LTD Alexi 600 Greeny the manager there in guitar center said that it doesn’t come with a hard case then when I showed him ESP website and pointed on how here it says it comes with a case and it’s the same price if not guitar center charged me more!! But he was kind enough to say that he will manage it out and I don’t have to pay for a case that’s already existing with the guitar. I also NEED the guitar’s Certificate and everything that comes within the hard case, it’s for my upcoming birthday so please help!!

Hey Ahmed, 600 series artist instruments do no come with a COA, only certain limited edition models and ESP signature series instruments will come with this.  Prior to 2019 these were not including a case.  My assumption is that they purchased this instrument prior to when they included a case.  If you need further assistance feel free to reach out to our customer service team at customerservice@espguitars.com

Any chance of the Alexi 600 scythe come back soon ? or was it a limited edition, I'm looking to buy an alexi-600 but actually prefer the white color of the other one

Carl N.

Hey Quentin, nothing planned at the moment but thanks for the insight!

Quick question: what kind of finish is used on the back of the neck? I bought one of these a few months ago and love the neck finish so much. Would love to see a "Hexed" edition Alexi guitar in the future (or bring back the pink!)

Todd B. ESP

Hi Nathan, Glad you like this finish. We tape off the back of the neck and keep it natural and put a satin finish over the wood. You can get a very similar feel from any painted "glossy" guitar neck by sanding the finish down smooth with some #400 & #600 sandpaper carefully. Its much smoother and slicker feeling than a traditional gloss paint. Thanks for your suggestions. The pink Alexi SE was really cool. Too bad we made them as a limited production run so we won't be reissuing them again.
