Alexi Laiho is the frontman of Finnish melodic death metal superstars Children of Bodom, and the Alexi-600 Greeny is his most popular LTD Signature Series guitar. It's an offset V-shaped guitar with neck-thru-body construction. It pairs a comfortable alder body with a fast and smooth three-piece thin U-shaped maple neck, with an ebony fingerboard that features 24 extra-jumbo frets and green-tinted sawtooth triangle inlays. The Alexi-600 Greeny's aggressive sound is powered by a single EMG HZ F-H2 passive pickup. Other components include a Floyd Rose bridge and Grover tuners. It comes in Black finish with lime green pinstriping and skull graphic.

Y’all REALLY need to reissue/re-release Pinky. Y’all know that it’s guaranteed to sell.

Carl N.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Hola buenas tardes, no entiendo por qué en las guitarras signature no está kai hansen, ni sus guitarras, cuando el lleva la marca esp, alguien me puede responder porfavor?

What is the country of origin for this guitar?

Carl N.

These will be made in Korea, hope this helps!

would i get more bang for my buck with this or a Kirk Hammett signature model ?

Carl N.

Hey Xavier, both are completely different instruments but with some similar specifications.  Ultimately it would be up to you as to what would make more sense for you fiscally.

Something Wild

I recently purchased a used Alexi 600 Scythe and need a replacement Trem Bar. Looking at the Floyd Rose website, there are many different color options. Is the the Floyd on here considered a Nickel or Chrome? Description here says hdw is chrome but the chrome on the Floyd site seems dark compared to the bright nickel.

And I love the Scythe BTW. You guys should definitely do another run!

Nathan M.

Certainly chrome on the greeny. There were a couple of differently labeled 'Scythe' models. The double pin stripe model (true Scythe) was chrome. The bold single pin stripe models (which were just white 600, not Scythe models, but often mislabeled) were black nickle (I believe).

Also note that chrome plating can flake/darken over time. If yours is pretty worn in, nickle might still match better than chrome. Black always matches too.

EDIT!: I was wrong. It's black nickle. The one I played must have been swapped at some point. Sorry :(

Something Wild

Thanks, I have the double pinstripe with the Scythe inlays.

Carl N.

Hey Something Wild, the Alexi-600 Scythe would have came with a black nickel Floyd Rose 1000 series bridge.  Glad you're enjoying it.
