joey w.

so i got this guitar yesterday and i have a few issues with it one something i would personally change one minor complaint and one pretty big issue. The thing i would change personally is swapping the volume and selector switch not a big deal just always bump the knob. The minor complaint even though the frets were almost perfectly level the fret ends had a lot of burs some were kinda bad but funny enough i was able to pick alot of the burs off with my thumb not a big deal just one of those things that would only take a couple extra seconds that would make it some much better. Then the big issue I'll start by saying this is not my first floyd rose guitar and i knew this came with a floyd special and was planning on replacing it with a gotoh later down the line so anyway i got the guitar set it up adjusted the truss rod stretch the string and balance the bridge adjusted the action (not under tension never do that under tenson this is a lesson i learned on my first floyd guitar learn from my mistake)  and got it all in tune locked the nut and the guitar was going out of tune with in like 10 mins ok so no big deal re tune and balance thinking i didnt stretch the strings enough or didnt tighten the blocks on the nut enough it stayed it tune a lot better so i start doing dime squeels and at first it stays pretty close to in tune i put the guitar down to go do something else for a few hours and come back check the guitar its still in tune go to do a dime squeel and it goes drastically out of tune and i notice a clicking sound ok so i re tune and then time check the screws that hold the bridge they were a little loose so i tighten them down kinda worked but i still kept hearing the clicking but it was coming from the bridge so great now i have to take the floyd off and check the post and knife edges i also check the bushings thankfully those are solid and not wiggling but both the post and the knife edges are pretty damaged thankfully I had an extra floyd rose special from a guitar i got a few years ago that worked perfectly fine that i replaced with a gotoh because i wanted to try the gotoh so i had to change strings change the post and floyd on the brand new guitar out for ones i had hanging out in a bin and now it seems to beholding tune a whole lot better and no more clicking sound i want to finish this off with the positives about this guitar the color and finish are great feels nice and smooth with only a little paint on the binding right by where the neck meets the body i love that they went back to emgs no a big fan a fishmans i love the one volume and selector switch i love the reverse headstock on a more affordable guitar the grover tuners feel and work fine this is absolutely my favorite neck on any of my guitars and the arrow shape itself is such a cool and comfortable shape and weighs nothing and the cut away for the upper fret access is great and makes playing past the 17th fret so easy and my favorite surprise this guitar was advertised everywhere as a set neck and when i got it out the the box i noticed it was a set through which makes playing on the higher frets so much easier and it feels so nice and fits my hand perfectly i really do like this guitar and it would have sucked to have to send it back and thankfully i had an extra floyd but i do hope others dont get a guitar like this one was out of the box
