I don't play black metal, but I use this guitar on my tracks. I changed the pickup and bridge, but NOT because the original ones weren't good, (they were top notch). I just had other parts lying around and am always tweaking stuff. I use this guitar because of the sound, the awesome stainless steel frets, and the playability, it plays like butter  

I may have to buy this and alter it to fit me.. :-p.. 

It would look great with some holoflash and maybe a purple pickup or something or red!

I got mine a few days ago and absolutely love it! The fit and finish are near perfect. The neck is a little thicker than a Gibson 60’s style or the old ec-1000 I used to have, but very comfortable. Not a crazy thin shredder neck, but definitely not fat.

Where else can I get a single pickup, Floyd rose, 24 stainless steel fret lp? Nowhere! The feel of the finish is so nice an soft, my hand glass across it. This thing rips! It’s a little under 8 pounds and way more comfortable than a Gibson, and with much better fret access  

The only complaint I have is that I wish it had the Ltd locking tuners instead of the Grover’s. The Grover’s are very nice, but it’s a pain to change the strings with the string retainer without locking tuners. The Ltd ones are awesome, and I would gladly trade. If one of them has to have non locking tuners it should be the Tom version.
