The LTD Black Metal Series is comparable in build quality to our LTD Deluxe “1000 Series” instruments, but with a dark and menacing design theme of all-black finish, components, and hardware, a single premium-quality pickup, Macassar ebony fingerboards with no inlays and glow-in-the-dark side markers, and even a newly-designed black metal LTD logo on the headstock. The EC-FR Black Metal adds Floyd Rose 1000 bridge to the already-cool EC-Black Metal. It offers set-thru construction for smooth access to the highest frets at 24.75” scale. This guitar also features stainless steel frets, a single direct-mount Seymour Duncan Blackened Black Winter pickup, and a push-pull control on the volume knob for coil-splitting.

David bloom  very good for you and I  very cool  guitar

HoosierDaddy T.

So many cool choices. I'm either getting this or the purple ec 1000 with floyd. Great features.  I've been playing since 1977 and would have died for a guitar like this back then!

Thanks. Tim.

Hi, Thanks for your comment. I feel the same way. Remember our choices back in those days!?

Hi, the bridge and nut radius are set by the FR parts standards. The nut is 10" and the bridge is 12". For further questions please contact Floyd Rose directly or contact our customer service at
