The stock string tree on this thing is junk. It grabbed the B and E strings and they would not stay in tune.

I replaced the string tree with a $10 Graphtech one and now the tuning stability is way better.

Why did ESP cheap out on such an inexpensive part for a $1,100 guitar?

Great guitar besides that one issue.

Why not make this exact model in black?! It'd be an instant purchase for me

I just purchased one of these on guitar center and you have a promo for the free premium gig bag.  I followed to click on your website and that did not work I would like to not get shut out on this promo a few years ago I was shut out on another promo from your company and I never received.  Hope you can. Help

I got this guitar 2 months ago and I can’t put it down! If you drop the same guitar in a neon green you already can consider my money yours lol.

Here in the middle east I have been owning common guitars are Ibanez (Prestige, Premium) and ESP (E II & LTD 1000) etc. American guitars are always sold for a premium and i could never afford one.  I got my first US made Fender Stratocaster Performer. It sounds and plays good, however for the price I paid I felt its quality worse than my 15 year old Ibanez RG MIJ. The store here in Dubai has no refund but an exchange policy so I went ahead with exchanging my strat performer for this gorgeous ESP LTD Purple blast Snapper. Am loving the roasted maple neck, scallop frets, and those Seymour Duncan pups have amazing tonal possibilities. A happy camper.

I really wish we could purchase replacement/alternative pickguards for the SN models. I love this guitar so much, but I like to swap pickups often. WD Custom stopped accepting orders and I'm having a tough time fabricating my own. I've been trying to make a SSS, HSS, and HH versions for this guitar with varying success. I can find pickguards for just about any other make of guitars, but not ESP.

Love the guitar. Have had it about 2months. Only gripe is the black side markers are really hard to see against the roasted maple fretboard. Would be better if they were white or luminlay.
I painted white dots over them and if that doesn’t hold I’ll be drilling them out and replacing them.
Overall though, this guitar is a great addition to my lineup.

IF FENDER AND GIBSON DON'T BEGIN 'UPPING THEIR GAME' WITH MORE OPTIONS AT A BETTER PRICE POINT... THERE WILL BE AN ESP IN EVERY STRING-SLINGER'S ARSENAL! I bought the Purple Blast HT about a month ago and can't put it down because its made playing so much more fun again! It's so light and the stainless frets make it so smooth. The selectable humbucker to pickup ability give you so many additional options for sound. I play everything from Mozart to the Ventures to Slayer and the ability to mix up pickup and humbucker combinations make for some cool renditions of every song. I suggested ESP begin 'wrapping' and then applying resin to some of the Ltd guitars in the cooler colors offered on their higher end models. But the 'graining' on this axe make the cooler colors a second choice. You surprised us again ESP... An amazing rig for an even better price. Forward thinking in design and quality at a reasonable price. This is why I've gone from Fender to you as a loyal customer!

thanks for the suggestions!

This is not easy to come by in Europe – with long delivery etc. It´s sensational nonetheless – if it had a whammy bar, I´d already ordered it no matter how long the wait!  Best regards from Germany and keep up the brillant work

thanks for the insight!

I hope you guys continue to offer the hipshot hardtail bridge option throughout your lineup. This guitar really feels killer.

Carl N.

thanks for letting us know!

Mark D.

Really like it, but not the color.

I’m a lefty, so there’s no choice. Will there be more colors for lefty’s?

Carl N.

I would love to see this guitar with an ebony fretboard!

thanks for the insight!

Now this one is special. Unfortunately the finish is a bit weird for me. I think a lot of people would like to see hardtail guitars like this in the future!

Carl N.

thanks for sharing your opinion!

Hi, when will the lefty version of this guitar become available? I am quite excited for it. Will it be in 2020?

Carl N.

The lefty model is new for 2020, it may be best to inquire with your ESP dealer as to when they would be incoming near you.

I've had mine for about a week and, man, you guys really knocked it out of the ballpark with this one. Neck, fretboard, fixed bridge, and the body's wood grain are SO comfortable, it really feels like an extension of one's body.

Carl N.

glad you are enjoying it

Christian L.

Love the specs on this, fixed bridge, SS frets, HH, Roasted neck...But the finish, aaargh why oh why not make the fixed bridge version black...

Carl N.

thanks for the insight

Got mine this week took it to practice sounded awesome, cuts through grain wonderfully, comfortable play velvet like neck, light for ash I was pleasantly surprised, pick ups really like to be down tuned but was very pleased with its clean tones layered it with 2 choruses and a tape delay on purpose it cut through that mess just fine. Great guitar, good price , Oh and the finish its unique the purple changes in different lights but when hit with bright lights the purple pops and screams lol. And was also surprised how the roasting of the maple neck mellows high end of the tone, for an Ash and Maple guitar this has a great mid bite.

Carl N.

thanks for sharing, glad you enjoy it

I got mine in last week. Really really enjoying it! I did a full review on YouTube if anyone is curious. Just search for the guitar's model. All in all, unbeatable value in this. For my taste, I'll probably swap the bridge pickup with a JB. Hoping to see more LTD in the future with SS frets and scalloped fingerboard!

Carl N.

glad you enjoy it

All the major music stores still don't have the new models, black blast and purple blast. I've had a purple blast on pre-order since the were announced. They were supposed to be available March 18 but with everything going on it's been pushed to May 18th. Can't wait!

Nathan M.

Same. I've had mine on pre-order with Sweetwater. I'm assuming the delays are covid related. They do seem to finally be going out though. I see one on Reverb already.

For years I have bought guitars not ever once thinking I'd need stainless steel frets. Still don't completely understand why it is such a fuss..Im after my 2nd SNAPPER this year. How this model manages to fly under the radar is remarkable. I saw a white model being demoed with torified maple neck and hss config(?), question is when can we expect to see these in stores and when are the sn-1 fitted cases gonna be ready? I was told that the case could be a 16 week wait if paid up front as a custom order..? I thought all snappers came with their spec cases? Will the SN line continue to be Korean built? Stay safe and well all✌️

Carl N.

Stainless used to be a high end upgrade but as more musicians keep demanding this on production instruments we have to try and please them if we can.  Personally 90% of musicians wouldn't need stainless frets other than just to brag that they're stainless, it's a bit overkill, like filling your prius up with premium, not going to make it go any faster.  These should already be in stores now so you can check one out for yourself...as long as your local ESP dealers are still open during the quarantine.  ESP Original, USA, E-II and the higher end artist signature series will come with cases, standard 1000 series instruments do not at the moment.  These will be built in countries we deem to be up to our standards for quality, whether that be Korea or elsewhere.

G Michael H

Fair call. I'm sure that I mentioned this in a different thread but the Vietnamese TE series are quite simply remarkable. The playability punches way above its price point but most off all it supports my theory that if brands hire their international builders to build to a standard that pays its homage to its flagships tasteful, playable and great sounding, it really doesn't matter where it's built. The form and function reflect the brand, and that's a brand at its best across the guitar economy. ✌️

Carl N.

Glad you enjoy them, thanks for sharing!

SS frets are a real advantage, every guitar I've ever owned have shown fret wear after even just 6 months to a year. Also, in my place in Thailand (I stay there for about half the year) my guitars fret only stays shiny/polished for about a week due to the climate before becoming a bit "cloudy" and if I put it in the case for a month I can actually see and for sure feel rust. This is in a modern house with AC on most of the time. My 10 year old Anderson with SS frets I can pull out of the case and the frets look like they were installed yesterday. How anybody CANNOT see these advantages is puzzling to me...Odd even. Also, when you sell on aftet x number of years perfect and new-looking frets are a huge plus.

I have a kh-602 and needs refreting.its my only guitar and fretwear makes it not so pleasant to play.i am not a professional but 2 professional guitarists who have made some setup in my guitar told me how the frets gone so bad?told them that its my only guitar and i play almost every day.i already have talked with luthier to make a refret.i will put stainless steel frets.i will think a lot to buy guitar for 1000euro or more with nickel frets again.
