Dear Sr.
how many pieces of mahogany and maple, are made the body of the LTD ec 1001T CTM snow white?
Best Regards
Typically bodies will be made of three pieces of mahogany and tops generally are two pieces
Hi, description states "set-thru construction with a mahogany body and maple cap". I have been told that LTD series only feature a maple veneer and a solid maple cap is only featured in ESP guitars made in Japan!?
ESP instruments with figured tops will be solid tops whereas most LTD instruments will solely have a veneer. Some LTD models, such as this, will have a plain maple top.
Thanks! Interesting, I wonder how thick that plain maple top approximately is?
Also, description says “full-thickness body that is chambered for weight relief”. Why, does that give any tonal advantage or is it a tradition? Because I think a thin solid body with same weight would be more comfortable, stable and maybe easier to make.
About 15mm thick. Chambered offers a richer softer sound vs that of a solid body
Hi anyone knows what the difference between EC-1000 and EC-1001 is?
EC1001 was a designation used for us to differentiate when we are using EMG metalworks pickups
What does the T & CTM stand for?
Hey Anthony, Traditional and Custom, hope this helps!
I bought this guitar recently and I am so far very pleased with how it plays and how it sounds, but one thing I could not find anywhere is if the frets are nickel or stainless steel. It certainly isn't a deal breaker for me, but it would be nice to know. Thanks in advance!
Hey Markus, glad you're enjoying it. The frets will be a nickel/silver alloy unless otherwise stated. Hope this help!
