(U.S. Only)
NOTE: Due to ongoing challenges in the global supply chain, instruments purchased from ShopESP that are not currently in stock may take an extended time frame to be delivered.

The LTD EC-1000 remains one of ESP’s most popular guitar series, offering the tone, feel, looks, and quality that working professional musicians need in an instrument, along with the pricing that serious musicians can afford. The newly-updated EC-1001T/CTM is an incredible guitar that offers quality and features not found on instruments that cost much more. It starts with a traditional full-thickness body that is chambered for weight relief, using set-thru construction with a mahogany body and maple cap, 3-piece mahogany neck, and 22-fret Macassar ebony fingerboard, and multi-ply body/neck/headstock binding on body top and back. The EC-1000T/CTM includes a set of EMG 66TW/EMG 57TW pickups with brushed black chrome covers. These “TWIN” pickups are being offered for the first time on a production guitar, and allow users to split the active neck and bridge pickups with push-pull controls for each pickup on its respective volume knob. Available in Snow White and Silver Sunburst Satin finishes.

Love this guitar — plays great and sounds great. I have a 2021 build, but am not sure how to tell if it’s stainless frets or just before based on the serial number.

I guess i'm glad I got the first series of these before they decided to follow in Gibsons foot steps and started chambering these things... I HATE chambered Les Paul's... Bad Idea ESP... Makes no real sense to chamber a full thickness, that's what the other EC series is for.

Jeff A.

Easier on the back, Also the chambering makes it vibrate and ring out with a fuller tone compared to my LP's. Tone is just as good as all the solid one I've have played....

Tim S.

I disagree.  Chambering makes the guitar sing and lightens it up. Thank you ESP.

I agree with you Robert, doesn't make sense to chamber a ltd full thickness. The regular non ft esp standard eclipse and ltd ec-1000 are already smaller than a regular gibson les paul body. thus saving weight without having to chamber it. Chambering sounds good to my ears acoustically and clean, however; on distortion it sounds hollow and doesn't have the oomph or balls a full thickness les paul has. Removing too much wood around the pickups and bridge make it sound like a semi hollow guitar. When I buy esp i want to play metal. Esp just make a standalone semi-hollow les paul if you want people to have that type of sound.

Really like this guitar so much and I’m so interested.

I got the old version of this guitar, which is the EC1000T-CTM and another full thickness LTD which is the EC401-VF. Both models are 2012, the 1000 does not have a maple cap at all as it is not mentioned in the catalog. But the 401 indicates it’s got a maple top.

Regarding the 401, is it a veneer layer over a plain maple cap or just the thin veneer layer, thanks.

Carl N.

those will use a veneer
