I was reading the comments and about 10 months ago someone asked what country these (ESP/LTD M Black metal) guitars are made in and Todd B. ESP answered Indonesia however I noticed on a couple of online sites it says on the guitar Korea, as of 2/26/2019 is there any spec differences or anything different in which country they were made in ? I personally would like one from Korea. The reason I was asking is I'm getting ready to buy one !
Hi Guitareagle, we have manufactured some models in our 400&1000 series in both countries. However lately most if not all of these models are manufactured in Indonesia. Our specs remain the same and we focus on maintaining our highest quality standards wherever we choose to manufacture our instruments.
Please make a hardtail version of the M!
Hi Jett, Thanks for your suggestion.
Is there a possibility to put the bridge from the BM M onto the BM V7 so that the viper can have a tremolo bar?
Hi Jordan, Currently we don't offer that. But thanks for your suggestion.
Hello, i feel a black metal version of an EX series guitar would be good, possibly with a hard tail and a floyd rose option, maybe a version with 7 strings, it would be interesting
Hi Jim, thanks for your suggestions.
a 7-string with the same specs would be nice
Hi James, thanks for your suggestion.
Definitely a seven string version with the same specs (maybe a neck pickup) would have my interest.
HI Charles, thanks for your suggestions.
if it is gloss black with ebony fretboard, i'll buy one for sure \m/
Hey Ken, thanks for your suggestion and I love your profile pic! \m/
Hi Todd, that's my lovely horn right hahaha, make gloss black and ebony fretboard then I'll have one more horn \m/
Gotcha Ken, thanks for your suggestions.
Enjoying my m-1000 black metal and could not be happier . If so , could you provide me with the factory tuning please ? I’d much appreciate it
Hi Mark O, Glad to hear you are enjoying your new Black Metal M series guitar! We tune standard for this instrument so it is E-A-D-G-B-E, and it comes with 9 gauge strings: D'Addario XL120 (.009/.011/.016/.024/.032/.042)
Ohhh...I would redesign this guitar a little bit. Swamp Ash body ( do not know why you don't use Ash at all.) So....swamp ash body. Maple neck with Ebony fretboard . Regular 6 in line head stock . Fixed bridge. Only bridge pickup is a great idea. Now you can make solid color or transparent. That would be a great guitar. Simple and powerful. If you want to make really great metal guitar , it doesn't need to have reverse head stock and floyd rose . Fixed bridge is better for detuned sound and guitar stay in tune always with fixed bridge. Just suggestion.
Hi Dariusz M, Thanks for your suggestions. Those are certainly good ideas.
I really want one LTD M-I with hard tail bridge! ESP E-II M-I is so expsnsive in my country... :-(
Hi Krisztian, Thanks for your suggestion. What about M-Black Metal? It is currently the only single hum LTD we make.
I see that you asked for hard tail bridge. You are looking for M-I single pickup with TOM bridge, correct?
Hello Todd,
thanks for your reply!
yes! I don’t like floyd rose system.
But ltd m black metal is a beautiful guitar!
Hey Krisztian, Thanks for your reply! I got it now. I agree that would be great with a hard tail bridge.
I also would love a Hardtail bridge M-black metal. Is there any clarity on when could we expect new additions in black metal series?
Hi Strmhm, Thanks for your suggestion. We're adding a V and a bass and some LH availability for our new product line but no Hardtail version as of yet.
Gimme. NOW!!
Wow! I’ve got several ec-1000s. Love them. But....... this is just the way I like my superstrats. Neck thru. One Seymour-Duncan pickup. One volume. No tone control. And a Floyd. Well this guitar is now on my list to get... thanks ESP!
Hey Del, Thanks! We're glad that this guitar works for you and hope you can get your hands on one soon!
Hi ESP, is this the only M series with 43mm nut, so does it have wider string spacing? I´ve got chubby fingers so I am looking for a guitar with 43mm nut, so the spacing would be wider and I also love ESP guitars, but can´t get one because of this issue. I´ve got guitars with 42mm nut that was playable for me but I believe that the 43mm nut would server me better. Also do you plan to make more guitars with 43mm nut, is there any reason why they are made with 42mm? I understand that it is standard, for ESP now, but some other brands have 43mm nut as standard, and 42mm is closer to Fender style guitars.
Hi Kamiya, All our M-series instruments have 43mm nuts. It is one of the features of this series. Our standard nut size is 42mm which is slightly bigger than a traditional Fender nut. 43mm is a little wide for most players that's why we use 42mm as our standard. There are some of our signature models which also have wider nuts like our GL series and Will Adler, Alex Skolnick.
Hi Todd, That is great, that is what I wanted to know, because I´ve got a bit chunkier fingers and I found that the 43mm nut is more likely to me, and it was bugging me that I want someday to get a LTD guitar but without the 43mm I would not, so I am glad about your answer, cause I found some that are labeled as 42mm I believe, so that is why. Now I can look up to a LTD and not other brand. Thanks
Hi Kamiya, OK. Hope you can find something that works for you!
Hi, I know it´s been a year that I´ve asked about the nuts width, but it came to my mind, why do you have written in specs on other M models, especially on those ESP E-II and in some stores that they have 42mm nut, also Kirk Hammett sig is based on M model, but these do feature 42mm nut right or 43mm? I really want to know because I am totally puzzled and can´t figure out if every M model have the 43mm nut or not, because you said they have this feature but when it comes to your specs I found it only on few models and in some stores they say it have 42mm nut. Could you please explain to me why is it like so?
Hey Lukáš, most M series instruments will come equipped with a 43mm nut, this will be the standard specification for these instruments. Though, there can be some exceptions at times. Signature series instruments will feature parts specifications determined by the individual artist, this is to conform with what specifications they are used to or prefer. All of our models should have the nut specified within the specifications, if not just leave a comment and we can have this updated. Hope this helps.
Will there be hardtail 7 Strings version of this? Im looking forward to get one.
Hey Gahn, Great suggestion......!
I love the aesthetic of this guitar. The matte black finish, the black hardware and the ebony fretboard with no inlays. Sharp and classy. I have an Epiphone Les Paul Goth with the same aesthetic and it just looks like it means business. I bet this plays like a dream.
Hi Shawn, thanks for those comments. We feel like you would definitely fall in love with this guitar if you had one in your hands.
If you came out with a te black metal hardtail Id buy immediately
I'd also like to see it with an EMG 81. Everything else is perfect.
EMG is outdated crap
Agree with you emg \m/ for me to
Hi Veiloftime, thanks for your comments.
Like the other guys said. A (lefty) hard tail would be awesome.
I've been hoping esp would release a model like this one for a while. I've been considering saving up for an m-1, but I really wish there was a Floyd Rose version. This is basically it. Also it's more in my price range, and if it's the same quality as my mh-1000 I know it's built great. One thing I would like to see is a version that had an emg 81in place of the blackened black winter.
Black winters are leagues better than anything emg has. Most pickups these days are, im glad ESP chose not to use tone sucking noisy pickups
I wish this guitar came with a hardtail. Other than that the guitar looks like perfection. Is this even out yet? I want.
Need a stripped down Arrow just like this. One Seymour Duncan with a reverse headstock
