I emailed the customer service team over a week ago... no response.  Does anybody know if these piezo models will start being made with stainless frets?

Jim S.

I just received this guitar today and it is so NOT blue.  It is like a teal almost green.  is this normal?  What should I do?

I just received this guitar for xmas...haven't really fiddled with it yet.  However I noticed something strange.  When I try to Zero the Mag pickup volume....there is still volume.  A lot of it.  Is this normal?  I'm able to completely quiet the piezo...just not the magnetic pickups throught the volume pot.

Raphael M.

What state is the piezo switch in?

Carl N.

Not sure what you mean, might be best to reach out to our customer service team at customerservice@espguitars.com or https://www.espguitars.com/pages/support

Would love this exact quilted top and see thru blue in an E-2 Series Eclipse, minus the Piezo and active circuits. Just some good Humbuckers with maybe coil splitting.

Carl N.

thanks for the recommendation!

Mark W.

Hi. Just bought this guitar. It is beautiful, set up very nicely, and has great tone. I have two questions I would like to have answered by someone from ESP.

1) My serial number is W17050889.  Based on something I saw online that means that this was built on May 17, 2020?  Is that correct?  Please confirm.

2) As I'm watching the videos online here it seems to me that my guitar is missing the coil splitting capability.  Not clear to me why that is.  Can someone explain?  I thought based on the videos that that was part of the product design.

Thanks.

Carl N.

Your instrument was produced in 2017, this would have been prior to the push/pull coil splitting functions being available on these instruments.

I love this guitar, especially the sound when both switches are in the middle position- best clean sound ever! This guitar would look even more stunning if the fretboard would be ebony! Thanks so much ESP- this guitar is just amazing!

Carl N.

glad you are enjoying it

Model Number placement? Why do some guitars have the model number (EC-1000P in this case) on the fret board and others on the tuner head?

Carl N.

This was a specification change to remove the model designations from the 12th fret, older models will have them, newer ones will not.  hope this helps

Bernstein Cat

currently where they build this guitar?

Carl N.

Currently produced in Korea and Indonesia, hope this helps!

Strider

I was wondering what the overall weight of the guitar is. Thank you....

Carl N.

These are about 8.5lbs, though no two instruments will be the same so some can be heavier and some lighter

Curt P.

Hi, I see it shows this guitar color in blue and black. I'm left handed and I can't find a blue guitar left handed. Do us lefties only get black and not blue?

Carl N.

For the piezo model this will only be available in black for left handed orientation.

Kyle G.

This says the electronics are active but I was under the impression that theSD 59 and JB were both passive. I am mistaken or does the active part exclusively refer to the Piezo pup? Or is it possible that the magnetic pups are passive but feature an active on board preamp? All comments will help. Thanks!

Todd B. ESP

Hi Kyle, you are right. The active portion refers to the Piezo preamp, but the pickups do not use a battery. The pickups can function separately and do not run through the preamp. The preamp is only for the piezo system.

Is there any difference between a 2018 ESP LTD EC-1000p DELUXE and a 2020 ESP LTD 1000P DELUXE?

Carl N.

No specification changes were made to this model during that time.

Dirt L.

Hey, I just purchased a 'new' ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000P in see thru blue. The first two number after the 'W' was 18. Does that mean this guitar is two years old? Honestly!?

Thanks, Dirt

Carl N.

Yes that will be a 2018 model.

Matt B.

Hails LTD folks!

So, I think the blue version of this one is currently the most stunning model you have to offer. I have to ask though -- is the finish on the back of the neck gloss or satin?

Carl N.

Hey Matt, this will be gloss like the rest of the instrument.

Sebastian M.

Does the blue version have coil splits?

Carl N.

Hey Sebastian, yes it does.

mark d.

I just bought the blue version, 2018 Indonesian model. It has no coil splits.

Rick J.

Do you have any plans or can I get this guitar with a whammy system?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Rick, This system is not available with a whammy bar. The piezo pickups are embedded in the bridge saddles and currently there are no whammy systems we're using that have the ability to install piezo pickups, but could be possible in the future.

Dirt L.

Hey Rick, you may want to talk to a company called SuperVee. They make trems for a lot of guitars. I put one on E.Clapton Signature Strat and my new Ultra Strat. The Piezo is probably an issue though, but I'm looking into getting one for my EC-1000 without the Piezo.
