    Even if you're just getting started on guitar, there's no reason that you can't get into the ESP family right away with the EC-10.     I bought a used red EC -10 a few years back, as a backup for my EC-256. Initially I was not impressed with the sound though it played well enough. 
    I made a few upgrades - Hipshot locking tuners, roller bridge and Fishman Fluence Modern pickups and this is now my favorite guitar! It plays like butter and sounds huge! Glad I didn't buy the EC-1000, which was on my list for many years.

      After some humming about, I ended up going for this. I feel this guitar was a great choice, I can't believe how nice it sounds, and plays so good, especially coupled up with Marshall Amps.

      Great quality and excellent sound!

      Only real regret is I didn't go a few models better. But that will be next year's goal!
