How does this compare to the ESP LTD Deluxe H-1008 Baritone Evertune 8-String guitar?
Bonjour le modèle E-2 HRF NT-8 baryton noir brillant est il toujours disponible ?
how about 7 string version of this?
Matt B. You said that you were a left handed player, so we’re you able to get this 8 string guitar in a left handed model?
Tom Sisson
I am a lefty and had been shopping for an 8-string for a while. Choices are limited.. and I wanted something higher quality than the Ibanez and Schecter models readily available. I stumbled on this guitar around a week ago, I've never owned an ESP or an 8string so I figured I'd give it a try. This is easily one of the nicest guitars I have ever played. I bought it to shred some of the nu-metal, and explore the massively extended lower end, but as strange as it is, it sounds even better through a clean channel for jazz and improv. Mine came with the seymour duncan active pickups... I'm partial to EMG, but the seymours are on the same quality level. For anyone considering this model for their collection, I'm happy to say that its high end quality guitar that is a lot more versatile than anticipated.
Hi, Thank you very much for giving us a try and we're so happy to hear that you like your E-II guitar. Excellent review as well!
Is this in stock?
if you have any questions you may reach out to our customer service team at customerservice@espguitars.com or https://www.espguitars.com/pages/support
What is this headstock type and are there any plans to make it available on 6 string E-II models?
No plans at the moment though this headstock is featured on most ESP and LTD F, FRX, and H models.
Do you still sell them new? Would love to buy one.
Yes we do, this is still a currently produced model.
Can you put an Evertune on it? If so, take my money.
Hey Benjamin, unfortunately not but you can always place an order with our custom shop if you have money to burn.
I understand. That’s unfortunate that I’d have to pay over twice as much just to get one different spec on this guitar. Guess I’ll have to go through evertune to have them install. Can you please email me a pic of this model that you have listed as a blemish? Thank you.
Hey Benjamin, our 2nds models are sold as is, sight unseen. Unfortunately we wouldn't be able to send you images of the instrument beforehand.
What is the standard tuning of this beast?
Hey Clay, here are our string specs from our FAQ, also a link for your reference.

What kinda headstock is this one called
Hey Dustin, this is modeled after the headstocks used on "F" Forest series instruments. HRF = Horizon/Forest Horizon body with a Forest headstock.
Hello i am new to the forum. I was wondering when esp will release new 8 string models. My finger is hovering over the purchase button on this model but maybe i should wait
Hi Joel, There are no more 8 strings planned to release for ESP or E-II. The only available models are listed on our site now.
Do the older ones with Seymour Duncan's also have a 3 piece neck?
Hi, Yes they were built the same.
My current main guitar is the Ltd H308, What would be the main differences?
Hi Thomas, These models are similar, the main difference is the country of origin. The H-308 was manufactured in China and the E-II is manufactured in Japan. So there will be a quality difference in the build and craftsmanship. The hardware will be of better quality on the E-II. But all that being said, you have a great guitar that was very affordable and if you A-B the sound difference it may not be much.
Please make this or an 8 string LTD with a floyd rose!
Hi Ian, thanks for your suggestion.
I have the 81-8 on my SC-608B and with the 24volt mod it's great
Hey Adam, Thanks for your comments!
