Made at the ESP factory in Japan, the ESP E-II HRF NT-8 Baritone is a monster guitar in every conceivable aspect. A 27" baritone 8-string guitar with neck-thru-body construction, the HRF takes design elements from both our H (Horizon) and F (Forest) guitar families. Typically tuned to F#-B-E-A-D-G-B-E, the HRF NT-8 Baritone provides a massively extended low end range for players who want to go beyond the typical limitations of standard guitars. It offers a surprisingly comfortable alder body, paired with a three-piece maple neck and an ebony fingerboard with 24 extra-jumbo frets. The ESP E-II HRF NT-8 Baritone includes a set of professional-caliber components, like a bone nut, ESP strap locks, Gotoh locking tuners, and a Hipshot fixed bridge with string-thru-body design. The set of EMG 85-8H (neck) and EMG 81-8H (bridge) active pickups on this extreme guitar are specifically designed to give you the range of articulate and aggressive tones you've always wanted. Available in Black Satin finish. Includes ESP deluxe form-fitting case.

I bought one of these guitars (Deep Red Metallic Satin )used about 3 weeks ago , it gets played more than any of my 6 strings now , it really is an awesome instrument .

I am a lefty and had been shopping for an 8-string for a while. Choices are limited.. and I wanted something higher quality than the Ibanez and Schecter models readily available. I stumbled on this guitar around a week ago, I've never owned an ESP or an 8string so I figured I'd give it a try. This is easily one of the nicest guitars I have ever played. I bought it to shred some of the nu-metal, and explore the massively extended lower end, but as strange as it is, it sounds even better through a clean channel for jazz and improv. Mine came with the seymour duncan active pickups... I'm partial to EMG, but the seymours are on the same quality level. For anyone considering this model for their collection, I'm happy to say that its high end quality guitar that is a lot more versatile than anticipated.
