They can’t because of the Gibson Lawsuit, you can have them special ordered from Japan if you want one custom shopped.

The EX Orignal body was an Explorer copy and resulted in a lawsuit because ESP made it better than Gibson so they sued .ESP. So they can no longer make any American EX designed guitars in the Explorer Shape.

I have a spaled maple version of this. Bought it for $200 with a clean headstock break. Fixed it up and its as good as new.

Not usually a fan of active pups, but that 61 is awesome for rhythm work.

glad you could get it up and running again, thanks for sharing

Oh how I wish you guys would bring back the FX version of this with standard colors instead of the burl top like the FX-360&400 models had. I love the EX design but hate the pointy 6-in-line headstock. I have an ESP Standard Series FX that is the absolute best guitar I own and would love to have something in black or white that that was an E-II or 1000 series.

Thanks for the recommendation!!

Would love to see a model based on 80's and 90's James Hetfield Explorer style, where the pointy edges are more round curves instead of a sharper point and w/ choice of EMG 81/60 or 81/85 set.

thanks for the suggestion

I like this idea. Also, an option for Fishmans and Evertune would be awesome!!
