I've had one since February '21 and it's flawless, can't recommend it enough. I flipped the saddles on the TOM to get a few extra mm of intonation and it handles drop Gb like a beast.
Will this guitar also get stainless steel frets ?
When will this guitar be available? It seems to be out of stock at the moment.
if you have any questions you may reach out to our customer service team at customerservice@espguitars.com or https://www.espguitars.com/pages/support
Hey! Is there any sort of neck dive on this guitar? Just making sure before I purchase!
not that I have experienced
hello, just wandering can this guitar be tuned as well to standard tuning? and if yes, would there be any complications or side issues? and what would be the best gauge for it?
You'd be fine tuning this in standard, I would just use whatever gauges are comfortable for you. Be sure to have this professionally setup if you're unfamiliar with doing this on your own.
Thanks Carl, no i m fine if it s normal changing of strings and tuning, unless there something else to it. Also is there a consideration to make an evertune version?
Would be cool with a red cherry finish like an SG
Thanks for the insight Hunter!
Why dont you put a bigger string gauge on the e-II like on the 400 baritone? Can a set of 10s hold the b tuning or does scale length allow for that tuning with that light of a string gauge
Hey Seth, this holds the tuning just fine. Different players prefer different strings so we try and find a middle ground as to what to offer from the factory.
Now if only we could get this exact guitar in the eclipse body style and then get either the viper or the now newly made wc body style Bari in that beautiful purple sparkle finish. Or green sparkle I love the finish on my sc 607b as well.
All very solid ideas Sadasar! Thanks for your input!
An 8 string version of this (with an Evertune bridge if possible) would be awesome. An Evertune version in general would be cool.
Hi Sean, thanks for that suggestion.
What's the tuning of this guitar, please?
HI MW555, this is tuned down to B-E-A-D-F#-B.
ADADGBE TUNING ON THIS GUITAR WOULD BE KILLER.
Holy hell MAKE THIS A 7 STRING! PLEASE.
Hey g3wdvibes, thanks for that suggestion!
I too would like a 7 string version of this same. Have it be the same exact specs but just seven strings. Make the pickups the EMG 81-7 & EMG 60-7 (7 String versions of the bridge and neck respectively). Make everything else the same. Same woods for each part, same tuners, 7 string version of the bridge. The same woods will keep the sound nice and clear!
Hi Daniel, Thanks for those suggestions.
Also, make sure it has the same Scale length too 27". 25.5" is way too dark and muddy. Thanks, Todd.
Hi Daniel, Got it, thanks for the clarification.
Make sure it has a 27" scale length too! 25.5" is way too dark and muddy!
I love this guitar!!! Definitely an Evertune version would be awesome, yet to see a baritone with that system.
My Ltd evertune MH-1000 is my to go guitar for band practice, no need for a tuner once is set...
Hey Igor, Thanks for your suggestion. That would be cool to have an Evertune on a baritone for sure!
Yeah I am a big fan of the viper always had a thicker tone than the eclipse. Wish the viper would make a comeback with the emg 66 and 57 or bareknuckle pickups get rid of the tone knob so volume and pickup selector can be set back further and possibly a coil tap option with passive pickups and please bring back the flag inlays and a few color options like some flame or quilted or even sparkle colors like on the eclipse and offer similar features on a Ltd version there are still sg lovers out there that rather the craftsmanship and quality of a esp viper just saying a passionate esp fan ......
Hi Gerald, thanks for your comments and suggestions. Keep an eye out for our new product releases coming up in the next month.
Is that a hint the viper is going to make a comeback?
Hi Gerald, Yes I hear that also........hope that's true. Check out our new products pages coming soon.
I received the 2019 namm new guitars is there eta when those will be available?
Hi Gerald, Some models will be available at the beginning of February, others starting in March. It really depends what you're looking for. I would recommend contacting your dealer if you're looking for a specific model or checking back here next month. Our new product should be posted online any day now so you can start checking out the details.
I'd like to see this in 24.75 scale length with EMG 57/66 set and flag inlays. I loved the Standard series viper and bought a 07 model this year. I really want a 07 era ESP Viper Custom trans black, would be exciting to see that again. Neck through, 24 fret a must.
Hi Montague, thanks for your suggestions.
Any chance of a standard scale with evertune?
Hi Michael, We don't offer this model in standard scale with Evertune at this time. Thank you for the suggestion and we'll keep it in mind when discussing new products.
Finally Viper baritone.
What about a standard E-II viper??
Hi Joe, Thanks for your suggestion. This is probably very likely to happen.
