Jim D.

Hey Todd,Thanks for the response.  Personally, I believe this is the typical response from ESP.  Customer service is lacking.  Plus, talking quality...this guitar passed inspection with a fret problem....that’s not quality. I seriously doubt anyone would contact a customer on a warranty issue.   Back to the guitar. Also, the replacement guitar that was sent is the same one I purchased.  Guess they did the fret work claiming a replacement.  ESP tall tell story.  Anyway, it appears the ESP Urban Camo at-least mine had fret issues, bumpy neck, and non existent fret markers.  I don’t use them but can screw you up.  My suggestion to anyone buying this guitar is to inspect carefully along with all ESP’s.  There is a quality problem...I have 3 moths of emails and pics to document this.  Buyer beware.  This guitar is a great buy at $150, but I would never spend more than 500 on an ESP....never 5 to 2k.

Hi Jim, Thanks for your response. We always help our customers to the best of our ability and our customers are usually satisfied with our service and our quality. I get it that you are not happy with your experience and we are currently trying to solve this for you. Please keep communicating with our customer service team. Thank you.

Purchased this guitar and immediately noticed that the quality was very poor.  Neck and case had issues.  Sent it back to good ole ESP and this is what they found.

We have received and inspected your instrument.  After inspection, we have determined that the neck is functioning properly, but the frets require leveling and recrowning.  One of expert repair technicians will have his instrument fully repaired and ready to ship to out early next week.  We will update you with more information when the instrument is ready to ship.  Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Really?  A brand new guitar needing this amount of work?  Neck functions properly?  Then why does it need this amount of work?  I asked for a replacement which they reluctantly agreed to.      Finally, after 3 weeks UPS showed up at my door with a replacement.  ESP never contacted me, or warned me that a replacement was coming.  The replacement was worse.  Plus, ESP just put the guitar in the box with no packing material.  Fortunately, the case only received damage.  Guess what?  Same issues....along with fret markers barely visible.   This time ESP shows their true side and informs me to contact UPS, and they would not warranty the replacement.   At this point I’m kinda pissed as a 2 decades ESP owner of 15 models, so I’m posting this to warn others of their quality issues of recent.  How would you feel if you purchased this model?  I’m glad this wasn’t another ESP custom shop order.  My last several years ago was 5k plus!      In closing buyer beware?

Im sure ESP will remove this comment, but I will post it everywhere!

Hi Jim D, sorry to hear that you were not happy with your experience but thanks for sharing it so we can look into it for you. This in no way sounds like a typical user experience for our instruments. We  stand behind our quality and our brand, so if you purchased a new instrument from an authorized dealer, it is warranted for life with our limited lifetime warranty.  We'll look into this for you and someone will be in touch.

I love my E2 M2 Urban Camo guitars, their freakin shred machines.  The quality and craftsmanship built into them real stands out too.  The tones coming out of the guitars is absolutely sick, paired up with my Marshall JVM410H, it’s a freakin crunchfest.  ESP has gone out of their way to make a mean guitar for metal, and I had to have 2 of them.  Thanks ESP!
