                  New Sensor Corp. They're the rights holding parent company that makes Electro-Harmonix, TungSol, Mullard, Genalex, Svetlana, and Sovtek. They're ALL made in the same factory in Saratov, Russia. That's not to say that they sound the same, they're all constructed in slightly different ways.  

                  I use a quad of Genalex Medium Gold Lion KT88s in my VHT Pittbull UL. The headroom is bonkers.

                            Good choice. I like the classification system, that GT has designed. You can experiment with the sound, playing with different classes of GT tubes. But they are not manufacturer, it's rebranding. So, I wouldn't use GT, because:
                            1. Using tubes by manufacturers, You can get needed result, not spending too much money.
                            2. When I experiment with the sound, I prefer to know definitely which tubes I'm using at the moment. It lets to correct sound with more variety, I think.

                            Well, I wouldn't use and tubes by amp brands for the same reasons
