About Me:

Onur Emek was born in Kadıköy, İstanbul. He’s a musician, singer, guitar player, songwriter, composer and record producer from Turkey. He formed his own band, ‘‘Onur Emek’’ in late 2017, releasing the album ‘‘Narsist’’ on August 2nd 2018, followed by a live album ‘‘Sonuna Dek’’ on March 18th, 2019. In May, 2020 he became one of the ESP Guitars' official artists.

He started to listen heavy metal music in 7^th grade. The first albums he met were Metallica’s Black Album, Master of Puppets and Load. His music career began to take shape as a guitar player and a lead singer in high school years. He studied Metallurgical and Materials Science Engineering at Sakarya University Faculty of Engineering. In his university years, he founded a thrash and heavy metal band called ‘‘Blazer’’, which formed the basis of his music style ongoing today. The band has performed many metal cover songs from Metallica, Megadeth, Motörhead, Slayer, Testament, Overkill, Kreator etc. on many stages in different cities.

In 2013, he started to take singing lessons from legendary Turkish metal singer Murat İlkan, best known for being the lead singer of Pentagram.

Onur Emek shared the same stage with Cem Adrian at university concerts, festivals, performance centers in many different cities and countries more than 750 live shows in between the years 2010 and 2020. Until 2020, the sound of live performances were much more heavier than Cem Adrian’s official music albums.

In the second half of 2019, Onur Emek started to focus on his own music only. Since then, he has been transferring all his energy to his band and making new singles and new songs for his upcoming albums.

Türk müzisyen, şarkıcı, gitarist, söz yazarı, besteci ve müzik yapımcısı Onur Emek, İstanbul-Kadıköy'de doğdu. 2017 sonlarında, kendisiyle aynı ismi taşıyan ‘‘Onur Emek’’ grubunu kurdu ve 2 Ağustos 2018'de ‘‘Narsist’’ albümünü, ardından 18 Mart 2019'da da ‘‘Sonuna Dek’’ konser albümünü yayımladı. Mayıs 2020’de, ESP Guitars’ın resmi sanatçılarından biri oldu.

7. sınıfta heavy metal müzik dinlemeye başladı. Dinlediği ilk albümler Metallica’nın Black Album, Master of Puppets ve Load albümleriydi. Müzik kariyeri lise yıllarında gitarist ve vokalist olarak şekillenmeye başladı. Sakarya Üniversitesi Mühendislik Fakültesi'nde Metalurji ve Malzeme Mühendisliği eğitimini aldı. Üniversite yıllarında, bugünkü müzik tarzının temellerini oluşturan ‘‘Blazer’’ isimli bir thrash ve heavy metal grubu kurdu. Grup, Metallica, Megadeth, Motörhead, Slayer, Testament, Overkill, Kreator vb. pek çok kült metal grubunun şarkılarını farklı şehirlerde, birçok sahnede seslendirdi.

2013 yılında, Pentagram'ın vokalisti olarak bilinen efsanevi Türk metal müzisyen Murat İlkan'dan şan dersleri almaya başladı.

Onur Emek, 2010-2020 yılları arasında birçok üniversite konseri, festival ve konser salonunda Cem Adrian ile 750'den fazla gösteride aynı sahneyi paylaştı. 2020 yılına kadar canlı performanslar, Cem Adrian’ın resmi müzik albümlerinden çok daha sert olarak gerçekleştiriliyordu.

2019'un ikinci yarısında, Onur Emek sadece kendi müziğine odaklanmaya başladı. O zamandan beri, tüm enerjisini sadece grubuna aktarıyor, gelecek albümleri için yeni tekliler ve yeni şarkılar yazıyor.
