    The Fake ESP Thread

    Pushead and I are here to help verify ESP and LTD guitars. If you have, or are looking to buy a guitar that you're unsure of, post pictures and questions in this thread. Please post clear pictures of the front and back of the headstock, the fretboard, and the front and back of the body. Preferably before you buy anything.

    Anyone else is free to offer suggestions on authenticity. If you answer a post, please tell us why you think it's real or fake.

      Hello everyone… A friend of mine recently bought this from Japan and as an ESP player asked me to check it out. It’s not in my hands yet but checked the serial number out online without success. Other numbers around that put it at late 1990’s but it has nothing else on the headstock front or rear which worries me a bit. It has scalloped frets above the 12th as well… any thoughts would be gladly welcomed.

                I'm planning on buying this guitar tomorrow. Could somebody please verify whether it's authentic or counterfeit? Please and thank you. This is my first post I Hope somebody can help

                        Hi everyone, I'm new here. I have the opportunity to buy a LTD EC-401 on my local marketplace. The price is almost half as I see on reverb, so I am doubting if it's a legit LTD or a fake copy. Thanks for your help.

                            Hello everyone, I wonder whether I should buy this guitar. This guy is selling it for less than $400. Looks like a George Lynch signature (please correct me if I'm wrong).

                            I don't see a serial number anywhere. 

                            Do you guys think this is a legit US made ESP? It honestly seems too good to be true.

                                Curious if this is a legit ESP LTD Grynch. #66, listed as a Japanese version with no case or CoA.
