Can anyone tell me if this M-2 is real?

Seller says it’s a rare piece and doesn’t have a serial number at the 24th fret. Tremolo says it’s a “sft-70” and licensed. No markings on the tuners. No bolt on plate.

Ominous guitars

Hi. I know this is a bit late. Yes It is real. I have one myself. It is rare because they only produced them for two years. It is (I believe) the first guitar produced by actual LTD, it is mostly ESP parts. Most likely still made in Japan. My sticker is the same on the back of the neck. This was before the Japan fire, and you can find that Japan admitted they didn't really have a good way of tracking records and serial numbers of that sort. I have also seen one WITH the serial number stamped at the bottom of the neck. If you can snag it for cheap, grab it! it's a great guitar.

Also, I've seen one where the serial number is stampedĀ geometry dash breeze on the underside of the neck.
