My Hero and idol,Gary Moore,the most important European guitarist of the early 80s who l was so lucky to see 40 years ago today had an incredibly aggressive technique and signature tone which was copied by many but never equalled. A Complex man who survived many early tragedies in his tough Northern Irish upbringing,like Vivian Campbell, a fellow Irishman he was an inspiration for my generation. Moore simply had the most incredible and melodic tone,ive yet to hesr anyone who could match him,the emotion he put into just one note was staggering. This is my tribute to the great man.
