ESP Horizon E-II RDB QM FR RDB detailing

This is a 2018 ESP Horizon E-II Seymour Duncan, floyd rose with quilted mapple top with reindeer blue color.

I bought this guitar as a used one so i wanted to get it cleaned and polished to remove some minor scratches from the previous owner before taking the guitar for a proper setup to the guitar workshop.

Since it was something that we were doing for the first time we did a research on the internet for any proper tools but we couldnt find anything well documented.

We did not used polishing pads because we were unsure if that could damage the body paint or not so the whole procedure was done by hand.

We firstly removed the floyd rose tremolo system and the strings.

The steps we followed to polish and seal the guitar body paint:

1) Dust removal with soft brushes.

2) Use of isopropyl alcohol to remove all oil residues

3) We first started with KOCH-CHEMIE - HEAVY CUT H9.02 : https://theragcompany.eu/products/koc...

4) Next we used KOCH-CHEMIE - Medium Cut F6.01 https://www.koch-chemie.com/en/produc...

5) For final polisher we used KOCH-Chemie - Micro Cut M3.02 https://www.koch-chemie.com/en/produc...

6) Use of isopropyl alchohol again to remove the residues of the polishers

7) Use of K2 Gravon Ceramic Coating to seal and protect the body paint: https://www.k2-global.com/en/products...

All scratches were removed from the guitar ( since it didint have any deep scratches). The guitar shines like new and the ceramic coating will protect the paint from small scratches and humidity changes. I hope you enjoy this video as we did doing it. For any question feel free to leave a comment.

Thanks for watching.
