LTD Deluxe Phoenix-1000 Vintage White Review by Euge Valovirta
Respected Finnish ESP player Euge Valovirta (Cyhra) takes you through a bunch of different tones and styles on the LTD Deluxe Phoenix-1000 Vintage White. This guitar offers excellent sonic variety with its set of passive Seymour Duncan pickups: a single-coil Phat Cat in the neck position, and a hot output Custom in the bridge that can be split via a push-pull control. A neck-thru-body design, the Phoenix-1000 Vintage White offers a three-piece mahogany neck with Macassar ebony fingerboard, and mahogany body wings.
A couple of pros and cons here. First the Phoenix has an awesome sound. On the negative side I wish that it were designed more like a traditional firebird design. For myself there are other ESP guitars that I would grab first such as the ESP snakebyte or the ESP TE-1000 evertune. The Snakebyte has a somewhat similar design and killer sound, while the TE-1000 Evertune is a guitar whose design is radically different but simply has an incredible and a awesome sound.
Sorry that not all of my thoughts were not supportive of this guitar, but they were my honest opinion.
Sincerely,
Tom Sisson
