About Me:

Erich Tran

History:

Started playing guitar at age 14 because of my fascination with KISS. It was1990 and I was living in

San Francisco, CA. Within that next year I saw my first concert featuring Death Angel & Forbidden at the

Warfield. Hard rock and thrash metal was definitely in my blood.

By age 15, I was living in small town Iowa & traveling to nearby Omaha, NE for concerts and music stores

etc. That’s where I saw my first ESP MII Custom with the famous Tiananmen Square “man in front of the

tank” image. It was new and I couldn’t afford it at the time, but over the next 2 years I saw it end

up 3 different music stores. By the time I was 17 and came across it again, I had to have it. I sold all my

guitars, amp, and pooled all the money I had to purchase it. Even without an amp for months I was so excited

to finally have an ESP. That was the beginning of my 20+ year relationship with ESP guitars!

Currently:

Debut “TRANZIG” album released in 2018 - (solo, heavy metal, instrumental). Wrote, recorded, and performed all the instrumentation with guest musician appearances.
Tranzig performing live throughout the Midwest
Featured songwriter with APM Music under David Ellefson’s MOLTEN imprint.
Currently performing on bass with Facecage. Performed nationally with various bands. Also performed in KISS, Misfits, Faith No More tribute bands.
Recording, writing and performing with Singer/Songwriter, and wife, Stephanie Tran
