What year did this exact model come out in black and gold? I'm seeing a lot of different years of this guitar which one is this?

Hi Nick, We've been offering this model since 2014.

Todd B. ESP

Hello, It sounds like your neck may need to be adjusted. We recommend you take your instrument to a qualified guitar tech to perform an initial setup. Most likely if your strings are high that means that the neck has "bowed" and may need to be adjusted straighter which will bring the string height lower without adjusting the bridge. Hi,

I am interested in the E-II Eclipse DB Vintage Black, I have searched around the internet and found that some have a flip battery compartment in the back of the guitar while others have to unscrew the backside. Is this because of model difference or just later model of the same guitar? If that is true, what other difference are between the old and newer models?

Great guitar and I have read numerous good reviews about it, consider purchasing it.

Hi Sean, We use the battery compartment which you are referring to only for models with active pickups. Is it possible that you are looking at photos of the same guitar with passive pickups? IF so, the passive version will not have this flip compartment. If you are looking at photos of the same model with active EMG pickups, then it is possible it is older, but we have been using this flip compartment for the battery for quite some time, maybe 10 years or so, but I don't have an exact date or year as to when we started to use them. There are not any other differences to mention. Anyway hope you get to try one of these some day!

Hi,

I intend to buy a E-II ECLIPSE DB VINTAGE and I would like to know if the fingerboard is made of real ebony or richlite.

Thanks

Tony

Hi Tony, we do not use richlite. This uses real ebony.

OK .

Thank you Todd.

My best.

This is true example of one Eclipse guitar. This is how I imagine guitar when you say Eclipse.
Vintage black, satin, gold hardware, aged color binding.
