Does this guitar have a lacker finish

Todd B. ESP

Hi Kayden, this guitar has a polyurethane finish which is standard for all our LTD guitars. We do not use laquer. The back of the neck matches the body finish.

Does the guitar come with a battery? and how long do these last for the pickups?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Epulka, Yes this guitar comes with a 9V battery. According to EMG, with 2 pickups you get about 1500 playing hours so a standard 9V battery can last for many months or more depending on how often you plug in and play. NOTE: Always unplug your guitar when you are not playing it because it will drain the battery when you plug in the cable.

How does the kh-602 compare to a deluxe 1000 series with a Floyd?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Jake, These models are very comparable in quality and build. Both use the same level of parts (FR 1000 series, EMG/Duncan pickups) etc. The main difference is only that the KH-602 has specs designated by the artist such as inlays, signature and pickups.

Just recieved mine today in the mail and very disappointed.  First off, the pickups were wired backwards.  Neck postion controlled the bridge and bridge position controlled the neck. Second. Some the pickup ring screws are not even black but worn out chrome.  One of the eyes on the inlays is missing and the strap buttons are drilled sideways.  Very disappointed.

I saw an ltd kh 602 with vintage neck finish do they still make this  or was it just modified by the customer?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Suheil, We never made a KH-602 with this finish. Someone must have modified a guitar, or this could be an ESP, it's hard to tell from the photo.

Suheil A.

its an ltd i just couldnt upload the rest of the photos

Todd B. ESP

Hi Suheil, Thanks. Doesn't look like a bad job. looks like someone put some work into modifying this guitar, but we did not make it that way.

Aydin H.

Are you sure this is a 602 and not a 202? because i have an ltd kh-202 that looks exactly like this. Black nickel (black chrome hardware), floyd rose special bridge, no kh signature on the headstrock, nothing on the truss rod cover, and the same finish on the neck. It came with passive ESP pickups. What is odd though is that the kh-202 on the esp website curently has black hardware, the finish on the neck looks alot lighter and less glossy. The wood looks closer to white than the one pictured above and like my guitar is. There is writing on the truss rod cover and on the pickups there is more writing. It is too long to simply say ESP like mine did. Also on my guitar on the 24th fret it says KH-202 whereas the KH-202 listed on their website doesnt and just has 2 skull & cross bones inlays instead like on the 12th fret.

Hi Aydin, If you're referring to the photos you sent earlier, there's no way it can be a KH-202 because a 202 is bolt on. The pics you sent show a neck thru body finish with the neck area taped off and it is natural. It looks more like an ESP KH-2 VIntage, or an LTD KH-602 that was modified. If you want more help please email those photos and any other photos and info you have to our customer service team and they can assist you in possibly identifying it. Send a serial number if you have it. here is their email: customerservice@espguitars.com

Oh, i honestly didn't pay attention to the neck and didn't notice. Mine is definitely a bolt on neck and ik 100% that mine is a kh202. I was just curious as to why my kh202 looks different to the Kh202 advertised on this website currently. Thanks for your message Todd

Todd B. ESP

Hi Aydin, OK. We have done some changes on the KH-202 over the years so that's why yours looks a little different. cheers!

Aydin H.

Btw i am a different person than the one who sent the photos, i just happened to see them and was curious about it as my guitar looked strikingly similar and i was curious as to why my kh202 is different to the one listed on the website currently .

Todd B. ESP

Hi Aydin, Thanks for pointing that out. Sorry I mixed you up with the original poster!

Aydin H.

Thats alright, i appreciate you taking time out to answer my questions. Have a nice day!
