ESP MT-I
ESP MT-I
Obsidian Metallic

Built by hand, one at a time, by the world-renowned expert luthiers at the ESP Custom Shop in Japan, the ESP MT-I is the Signature Series guitar for Mick Thomson of Slipknot. Every minute detail of this handcrafted guitar is built to impeccable precision, from its flawless body and neck to its carefully-chosen components that were specified by Mick to achieve the iconic aggressive sound for which he’s well known. Available in Obsidian Metallic finish, the ESP MT-I is based on the body shape of the original ESP Horizon from 1987, with a deep arched top. It pairs a mahogany body to a white ash top, using deep set-thru construction at 25.5” scale to sturdily adjoin its fast and comfortable thin U-shaped three-piece maple neck. This guitar implements a fenowood fingerboard with a compound radius and a slanted end to accommodate 24 Jescar FW57110-SS stainless steel frets. Components on the ESP MT-I include a Graph Tech BT-6642-00 Black TUSQ XL nut, Hipshot Grip-Lock locking open gear tuners, an all-brass Hipshot Hi-Mass hardtail bridge, ESP strap locks, blue Luminlay side markers, and a Fishman Fluence Mick Thomson Signature pickup with a 3-way low profile toggle switch to select between Voice 1, Voice 1 with bass boost shift, and Voice 2, and a push/pull volume control to select Voice 3. Includes a deluxe ESP hardshell case and a Certificate of Authenticity from ESP.
