This would be the bass I would get if I could switch to ESP. Big complaints I have with this is the J pickup and the price. If there was a $300 version of this, I would scoop one up.

      I love this surveyor 87 Bass. Does anybody know the actual weight of the bass? Plus will it be good to play Hard Rock to Metal, Just curious?

        Should be about 9 pounds though no two instruments weigh the same.  You could play any style of music on this.

              Sorry Frank, these weren't produced as five strings in 87 so we are not offering them as such.  The AP basses come in five string versions  though.
