I owned one of the originals back in the day.. I wish these new guitars had stainless frets.. I'm also looking at the EC models of course.. Great guitars.. Great features and these were so cool .. Just killer Japanese craftsmanship.. 

I really wanted to get my hands on the Mirage Deluxe but none of the local dealers had them in store. Found a great deal online I couldn't pass on and pul the trigger. And mayn I don't regret! 
The last LTD guitars I had were bought more than 10 years ago. As far as I remember, the finish wasn't on par with my Japanese made guitars.
The Mirage deluxe 87 could completely pass the MIJ benchmark. It is a very detailed guitar, and the attention to angles and shapes is really impressive. I can't find ANY flaw whatsoever except for minor fixes needed: the nut had a super sharp extra edge sharp as a knife. Easy fix but ruins the nut finish a little bit. I am also a Floyd Rose freak and the Floyd Rose 1000 had to go.
Other than that what a delight to play! I was planning to swap out the bridge pickup but after a few hours of playing the guitar non stop, I am not sure anymore.
Very well done. I will probably end up with more of these...

ESP, please make this in Candy Apple Red w/ a black headstock. I'll buy two!

Just got this guitar and it's absolutely amazing. Love the feel, sound and the color( Pearl Pink). Well done!!

What is the recommended pickup height for this guitar?

Also I would love to see a reissue of the 400 series.

This came in last night, and it is fantastic.   Feel, fit, and finish are awesome.  Tonal spectrum is incredible, and the play-ability is amazing.

I suggested that my rhythm guitarist in Touch of Grey get one, and I'm happy to get him out of the fingers of the evil FmiC.  

Excellent, excellent guitar; fantastic value - you get every penny out of it in quality.   He liked it so much that he got the turquoise one too!
