Guitars in the LTD 1000 Series are designed to offer the tone, feel, looks, and quality that working professional musicians need in an instrument. The LTD Deluxe H3-1000FR has the bold angular curves of the ESP Horizon-3, with an extended and beveled upper horn and a shortened lower horn that offers excellent high-fret accessibility. This guitar offers set-thru construction at 25.5” scale, pairing a mahogany body with flamed-maple top to a three-piece maple neck with Macassar ebony fingerboard. Just ordered one of these and a schecter hellraiser c1 have to decide which one to keep. I ended up on the ESP as it feels amazing! The schecter is good, but this is better!

To bad i live in Norway and wont be able to claim a swag pack for the Anniversary! Love the guitar!

Carl N.

Glad you kept the ESP!

Hey guys, finally got my hands on this and... it's... not black? Like at all. In real life it looks more green, in images more gray, but it's definitely not black like in the above pictures. Did I get a poorly finished one? Should I ask for my money back?

Plays and feels amazing, I'm just sad it's the wrong color.

Thanks for sharing this, if you feel there is an issue with your instrument may reach out to our customer service team at customerservice@espguitars.com or https://www.espguitars.com/pages/support

I am so excited I just ordered one today, however, I am just curious, I saw some pictures online where this guitar has a fret marker on the 24th fret whilst some don't. are they made in a different factory? or are they fake?

Carl N.

Previously our LTD instruments featured the model name at the 12th fret, this has since been changed.  If you see a model number at the 12th fret this would just be a previously produced model.

Dustin M.

I noticed that too but I am talking about the fret marker on the 24th some pictures online have it and some don't on this particular model

this is a player's guitar. the action is very impressive and the way its made with the through neck and mahogany body give it an amaizing platform. out of the box its geared for metal and rock styles, and the coil split feature lets you hit those authentic older classic tones. unfortunately it did have 3 cosmetic factory flaws that didnt get caught during the 55 point inspection which did hurt a bit, especially when you spend over a thousand dollars. the second issue is finding a case. i went through sweetwater and have already returned the case the sent as it didnt fit. ive had the guitar for a month and cant get a case to protect it, not cool. if there is a direct purchase option let me know

Carl N.

Typically sweetwater will let you return an instrument if you are dissatisfied, I take it you kept the guitar?  The model of case for this instrument is here, this should have been the case the dealer had sourced for you.  I should note that our cases are very tight when new, and it may seem the case doesn't fit your guitar but there is a trick to getting them in the first time.  Place the treble side of the instrument in first then press the bass side in, you're not going to hurt the instrument and the case will form to it's body after use.

Rorry M.

thanks for the quick reply. the issue is getting that model. we originally tried the mh/hk/m/h which doenst fit the high left horn or the higher left body cut.

I am IN LOVE with the H3 design! I want to get one as soon as I've saved enough  Are these models available in any other colours, or just the ones shown here?

Carl N.

For the moment just the three options we have listed.
