This guitar brings both the vintage feel and the modern spec all in one. May upgrade the PUs to EMGs

This is my first ESP guitar.  Wow,  I am mpressed .. Out of the box it was nearly in tune.  Didn't need a setup.  I appreciate the quality strings.  All I can say is this baby rocks.. it feels more expensive than it is.. The neck and fretboard are just smooth and easy playing. This was my first thin U neck and it's very comfortable.  I actually purchased the lemon drop finish and it's just beautiful..it stays in tune pretty good and the pickups are what hard rock and heavy metal should sound like.  I don't need any extra distortion pedals or eq's..  Just plug it in and rock! I had purchased another guitar at the same time similar in price but the ESP LTD Ec-256 is the guitar I play the most.  I'm considering selling the other guitar (strat, floyd rose) for a ESP strat . The 256 is a fine guitar. I highly recommend this guitar to anyone..

I bought the 256 in cobalt blue… And I will tell you it is an amazing guitar. the fit and finish is just perfect and the blue is really stunning super easy to play.  Stays in tune etc.  The value at $599 easily compares with other much more expensive Les Paul guitars .   I’m sorry, but I don’t know why someone would spend that kind of money when the 256 is available.

I just got Vintage Ltd EC256Fm yesterday. This guitar is awesome! Way lighter than my Gibson Les Paul.

I have an Indonesian EC-256 and it is the ultimate LP killer with no modifications. Crushes the competition regardless of price point. this is an awesome guitar hands down, every sound you could ask for out of the box. I bought a budget model because I prefer the classic style neck joint but this guitar plays top of the line, and I would compare it to any LP.

Can we suggest finishes for future EC-256 models? I'd like to see one in the amber cherry sunburst finish!

I just posted in the LTD forums section. I purchased this axe today at Sam Ash in New Haven CT. I cannot believe the quality of this guitar, from feel to sound - i would easily expect to pay $1000 or more for a guitar of this quality. You guys should pat yourselves on the back.

What's the difference between the EC-256 and EC-256FM?  Both have flamed maple in the description which was my best guess.

We did offer the EC-1000 in this color some years ago, perhaps you could get a hold of one of those.

Just received it today. Ordered from Sweetwater and had it Plek setup. I really think it looks and plays great. It looks better in person than the pictures show...Would love to have some info on the controls.

Carl N.

Glad you enjoy it, controls are volume/volume/tone with a three way switch and push/pull for coil splitting.  Here is a link for our owner's manual for your reference.
