Being made available for the first time, the George Lynch Signature Series ESP Kamikaze-4 takes one of the most distinctive and iconic guitar designs ever made and adds a unique neon color scheme and design elements that make it a classic of its own. Created by our master luthiers at the famous ESP Custom Shop in Japan, made one at a time by hand, the Kamikaze-4’s most noticeable element is its aggressive sawtooth-shaped headstock. This guitar is built precisely to George’s exacting specifications, all the way down to the U-shaped neck profile that is unique to George’s design. It’s the same guitar that we’d build for George himself should he require a new one, and should be considered as an instant guitar collector’s dream come true. The Kamikaze-4 has a maple body with a bolt-on maple neck and maple fingerboard, and premier hardware features including Gotoh tuners, a Floyd Rose Original bridge, an ESP SS-120 single-coil pickup in the neck position, and a Seymour Duncan George Lynch “Hunter” signature pickup in the bridge, with a single volume control that also allows for push-pull pickup selection. This pickup was specifically designed to George’s specification for a powerful and dynamic response, providing the harmonics, dimension, and firepower that George’s style demands. It's a high-output pickup with ceramic magnets and custom wind, with all the muscle for power chords and easy access to harmonic squeals, while remaining transparent enough for the “not quite clean but not exactly dirty” tones that George employs. The Kamikaze-4 comes with a high-quality hard shell case and a Certificate of Authenticity from ESP.

I bought mine in 2006 when it was called the Kamikaze 4 LE (Limited Edition). I finally had the money to buy and this model was discontinued. I scoured the internet looking to find one and those that said they had one really did not and my hopes to own this guitar were diminishing. I went to my local music store that was an ESP dealer with hopes of maybe getting some help to find my precious. After showing them what I was looking for in the ESP catalog and a five dollar deposit they agreed to make some phone calls. The next day I received a call from the shop and they said they found one. Of all places it was hanging in the offices of ESP Guitars in LA one of the first made and last to sell. They asked me if I wanted it and I said yes. I went over to the shop and paid them in full. It took a week for it to arrive at the shop and when they opened the case on the counter and I played it for the first time it was magical right out of the case. So you see this is not the first time they have released this guitar. Mine does not have the George Lynch signature on the headstock but I do keep his autograph in the case. I was fortunate to meet George on several occasions back in 2004 when he performed at The Edge in Palo Alto California with the Lynch Mob fronted by Robert Mason (Vocals) Wild Man Mic Brown (Drums) and Anthony Esposito (Bass). George has been a major influence in my playing and this guitar is my main player. I have other exotics (high end) guitars but this one gets played the most.

I like this Kamakazi, flashy, maple body and neck, don't have to take neck off for seasonal adjustments. Mine is coming from the music zoo soon. I'm sure it's a beauty in person.                                                I got the ESP Kamakazi 4 , flashy, craftsmanship outstanding, 9.8 lbs. The first guitar I've ever bought that was perfect to shred out of the case. I should have bought a kamakazi or any GL guitar earlier, the neck is perfect for me.
