I would suggest to other potential buyers of this guitar who aren't particularly fond of "cobalt blue" to email or write to ESP and request they manufacture more 256FM's in various colours as I have done. If they see a rise in popularity they could possibly make more.

            Why would this one be easier to play for a beginner instead of the KH-202LH?

              Playing the instrument wouldn't be easier or more difficult between the two.  A tune-o-matic bridge would be easier for a novice to tune and maintain than a locking tremolo system which is on the KH202.

                Question - I've just decided to learn to play the guitar and I'm trying to decide between this 256 or the KM-202LH?  Any thoughts and/or insight would be great.

                  The EC256 might be a little easier for a beginner to get started on.
