This guitar is just too Awesome not to come with Passive pickups. What do you say ESP? Slap in some Duncans and watch the orders roll in.

Todd B. ESP

Hi Stephen, thanks for letting us know. It's always a difficult choice to choose pickups for every model, however I can say that you will continue to see more new model releases featuring passive pickups. Also if you haven't tried these EMG pickups, I suggest you do. They do not sound like your typical EMG 81!

I'm very interested in this guitar, but am unable to find a lot of media on it online and I don't have access to this model in a nearby store to test drive it. Is there any sources/reviews available on this guitar?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Ralf, thanks for letting us know about this. We will be doing a video for this guitar, however it's a brand new model for this year and just became available recently.

Hi Ralf, here's my review/playthrough of it. It's a great guitar!

Thanks for sharing that Gav!

Any update on the avg weight of this guitar? I'm not seeing it posted here. Thanks

Todd B. ESP

Hey Dustin, sorry about that and thanks for your patience. I think I told you these would be between 7-8 lbs, which is common for our M or MH series. It turns out this TE-1000 ET model is a bit heavier, coming in at just over 9 lbs (about 9.25lbs). It's common that each model will have a slightly different weight so it's possible you can find one lighter but probably not under 8 lbs. hope that helps.

Thanks Todd, that does help. I appreciate you following up

Todd B. ESP

Sure Dustin, Glad I could help.

This would've been the perfect guitar for me but the weight was a deal breaker. I know some people think heavy guitar=better tone but I haul my guitars all over the city to gigs / practice etc and 12 lbs is way too much. Not to mention being on stage with this slung on you for an hour or more and you'll definitely feel it.

Would love to have seen the body contoured down, which I'm confident that ESP could do while maintaining their TE shape. Its a shame. I was gonna get this. Love the Evertune bridge, ebony fret board /w 24 frets, set thru, and the finish.  Very cool & classy headstock shape too.  Almost checked every box.

Hi Dustin, Sorry to hear that. I understand about guitars being too heavy. Where did you see that the weight is 12 lbs? That seems a bit extreme and I doubt that this model weighs that much. If you would like the average weight for this model we can post it here for your reference in case you may still be interested.

Dustin H.

Yes I'd still be interested if it's substantially less than that. If it's 7-8 lbs, I'd definitely be into it. A seller on reverb told me 12 lbs. Thanks Todd!

Todd B. ESP

Hi Dustin, sorry for the late reply. The weight should be in that range. I'll get a confirmation at the beginning of next week.

Dustin H.

Sounds good.  Thanks Todd

Barnette

when is the lefty version coming out?  also why are none of the 2019 left handed guitars in the left handed section?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Barnette, The lefty version should be available within the next month or so, depending on who has already placed orders for them or not. They will be going up on our site soon, but we have to photograph them first when they come in.
