Purchased a Player Grade Arrow-1000 Violet Andromeda, beautuiful guitar!  Still not sure where the flaw is.  I thought I had found a little blemish, it was like an oblonged spec, first  I had thought it was dust, so had ignored it, but now after playing it and wiping it down afterwards, I went to look at the flaw to describe it in this review, now that flaw is gone!  Maybe it's lttle scratches on the plastic sheet covering the back plate?  But I am sure the backplate is not affected.  Maybe the dots are not centered on the neck binding?  But the dots are the same on my other two Ltd's that were not PG.  It arrived setup with .011" strings instead of 9's like stated here in the Specifications.  Had to go through and do a complete setup for 9's after re-stringing it.  Now the guitar is perfect, I want to say flawless (where is the flaw?), and plays awesome!  I have 2 other Ltd's, and I like this one the best.  I love the Violet Andromeda, different angles different colors, Red/Burgandy, Blue, and Purple, in dim lighting it looks black.  Where's the flaw?  Setup with wrong strings?  Plays great now!  Love it!  Glad I got it.

Follow up, still the best guitar I own.  Plays awesome, sounds awesome!  Looks incredible, neck is perfect.  I am used to the V now, love it.  Flawless.  I never did find a flaw, nothing.  Not one blemsh, or mislignment... nothing.  Love it.

I see that the Sweetwater pictures now show that this has been updated to have a satin neck, which is awesome! But please, please put the reverse headstock on this one. It would be an instant buy.

Please make this available with a fixed string through body bridge. And keep the violet andromeda gloss.

I’m sick of all the satin finish guitars. They get dirty and nasty way to quick. We need violet andromeda gloss finish on more guitars.

Also an extra thin u neck is much better than the regular neck.

Any plans to pair the 1000 Violet Andromeda with Fishman pickups? Basically, the existing one with specs more like this one: https://www.espguitars.com/products/27416-arrow-1000nt. Floyd or NT, either would rock!

I’m in love with the look of it, but I just have a question, would it be possible to swap out the active pickups for passive humbuckers, and would there be a way for someone to make the volume switch a push/pull for coil splitting?

For the price you really should put on locking tuners.  I hate winding strings and trying to keep them from popping out.  No matter if it's locking at the nut or not getting a good wrap on the tuners is so much easier and neater with locking and the price is just way too high to not have them.

I'm thinking of getting either this one or the red one. I read these are being made in both Korea and Indonesia. Is it possible to specifially order a Korean made one?

The violet andromeda comes with stainless steel frets now? The older ones didn’t right?

Craig S.

Please consider making a 1000 series without a tremolo

The Impermanent One

An Evertune version would be sick!

And an Extra Thin U neck!

Jeff W.

I feel the same way. I already have two ESP LTD guitars with tremolos. I would love to have this violet andromeda gloss with string through fixed bridge and a neck and bridge pickup.

Received mine 2 weeks ago and I have to say its a well crafted instrument from the playability to the finish ,glad I went with esp ltd it's hard to put down !!!

Todd B. ESP

Hi, Glad to hear that. Thanks for posting your review here and thanks for choosing ESP!

Micolash M.

Does the guitar come with a satin or gloss neck?

Todd B. ESP

Hello, the neck matches the overall finish which is gloss.

Are the Korean and Indonesian made Arrow 1000s the same price? Considering people claim Korean gmade guitars are superior to Indonesian.

Todd B. ESP

Hi, all models with the same name will have the same price and specs regardless of where they are built.

We are currently manufacturing this model in both Korea and Indonesia. However, we constantly monitor production standards at our various factories in Asia where we produce LTD models. Should we determine that a certain facility is capable of manufacturing an instrument to ESP's required standard or better, we may decide to shift production, or in some cases share production of a model, wherever that factory may be located. The guitar should be of excellent quality regardless of where it's made, and it will have passed our own quality assurance testing.

I am thinking of getting this! Never used ESP/LTD before (Schecter, Jackson and Ibanez only) so how bad of a quality of this compared to the equivalent $5k ESP Black Andromeda? Worth spending $1k on this?

I have several LTD guitars (owned many various guitars through many years) and the Arrow 1000 is incredible. Awesome finish is an understatement. Plays like a dream. I absolutely love this guitar. Buy it..you won't regret it. I haven't played an ESP Arrow, but I can only imagine the extra money is in higher end tuners, nut, etc. (Not that there is anything wrong with the tuners or nut on the LTD..just using them as examples.) The LTD guitars I own are perfect...lacking nothing.

Michael T.

Extremely worth the money, the 1000 series is a very well built guitar. After 2 years still haven't found a flaw in it. Wiring inside was even done extremely well.

Ethan W.

Any plan on making a reverse headstock version of this guitar?

Carl N.

nothing at the moment

David L.

The Arrow Black Metal has reversed headstock..just not the Andromeda finish. (I just saw a new candy apple red Arrow 1000..new for 2021 I guess..it is beautiful.

Bruno Antonio G.

It's so nice color and super shredding guitar

thanks for your approval!

Is there any difference from Korean made vs Indonesian made quality?
Also, is the volume knob metal?
